That make sense, I immediately thought less time in barrels.

FWIW they had a limited amount of the 2016 BASC on tap during the regular SC release party earlier this year. In retrospect, it now makes sense why they were able to offer it in January. Looking forward to this release as always.

Last year i think they did a big event with dinner and verticals for this... do you know if you have to go to that or can you just buy this beer the day it releases at the brewery?

That was a different event, part of their 10 year celebration. You can line-up, camp out, etc. for this beer on the 21st.

Was eating lunch in the brewpub today and the waitress overheard me saying that I wasn't going to be able to come to the release this May. She then told me one reason they're doing BASC earlier is because they are going to be releasing a beer in August and it's something they've never done before and in her words "people will be surprised what it is".
    Let the speculation begin? !?!?!

I asked if they were doing Olde Rabbits Foot again and she said no.

Well if it has Duck Rabbit's participation on it, it definitely will be sour.

Could be some kind of variant of BASC. I'm hoping for double barrel maple bacon vanilla bean coconut coffee raspberry chipotle pepper sexual chocolate.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some crucial adjuncts but that's a good start.

Foothills is really behind the curve getting some variants out. I hope that's what it is.

    Those are not adjuncts.

Adjuncts are unmalted grains (such as corn, rice, rye, oats, barley, and wheat) or grain products used in brewing beer. Which supplement the main mash ingredient (such as malted barley), often with the intention of cutting costs, but sometimes to create an additional feature, such as better foam retention, flavors or nutritional value or additives.

    ad·junct
    ˈaˌjəNGkt/
    noun
    plural noun: adjuncts
    1. 1.
a thing added to something else as a supplementary rather than an essential part.
Sounds like everything he listed is indeed, an adjunct.
