New in Kentucky

It won't be confiscated by the carrier unless the package breaks. A buddy here in KY just got a box from one of those retailers in Asheville, that despite the stickers all over the box saying it contained alcohol, and despite the box requiring a signature, the delivery guy just took the signature and handed it over.

Good thing, since the box had a few bottles for me in it as well.

 

Very good. They even called back after my friend had placed the order to say if he wanted to just pay about $7 more, he could get the order overnighted.

Bonus for paying a retailer to ship is that they ship in a reusable shipping container so you can use it on your next trade(s).

 

The early 2014 batch was amazing, nearly as good as b1 bo and luke. last year's batch was solid, but nowhere close to as good as the first batch.

 

CBB officially announced 4/23 as the bottle release date for Barreled Jalapeno Porter. Expected price point $15, expected bottle limit 4 per person.

CW4 is a fruited IIPA.

 

Had a black IPA at country boy recently, Infinite Sadness, it was called, & it was quite tasty.

 

Different locations in town get it on different days during the week, Tues-Friday. They get it on the same day every week. When someone in back is aware of it being there is a completely different issue.

It's on tap at Idiot I think. Beerworks has in-house bottles this week.

 

If it's anything like Louisville or Southern Indiana, I think what he means is that different stores sometimes a stone's throw from each other will get FFF on different days from one another, but that whatever the day is for that store, it is a constant.

It's really good. Reminds me a lot of Surly Coffee Bender only a bit "fuller"? Worth the $13 for a 4 pack IMO. It's super coffee forward.

 

It feels/looks like talking with a 3 year old in here. No matter what you say they don't believe you.

If Lexington gets FFF shipments on any given week, and you're desperately hunting a particular beer that came on those shipments (not all stores get the same bottles, especially ZD), go to Trappe on Tuesday AND Friday. Sometimes it seems like they get two FFF shipments in the same week.
