Hoof Hearted

I can't wait to try it, just wish they wouldn't have brewed and released it in May. Seems like a fall or winter release would be more suitable.

 

Well I agree too but if it is really good, maybe it will be made around then too. Coffee stouts are nice drinks on a cooler summer night imo. I like Hoof experimenting a little bit. They make great IPA/DIPA, but I haven't heard much else out of them.

 

I would really like to see pump out a lager one day, just because. I would be curious on their take of the style.

 

Family member will be in Columbus today, possibly tomorrow.....any suggested places she could find Hoof Hearted cans to bring home (preferably whatever IPA/DIPA is available)?

 

Family Member can go to the brew pub and bring back some growlers for you. They're closed today but open tomorrow. No cans.

 

Rose Gose canning. Second week of May per Instagram

 

That art is effing killer, almost too serious for Hoof. Almost. Can't take anything fashioned after the 80s seriously. Not even Ronald Ray-Gun! Pew pew.

 

Rose Gose is nice but I want a new batch of Group/Fruit Saxx in cans!

Didn't think Group Saxx was very good. It wasn't sour, salty, or tart IMO just a mediocre brew. Looking forward to trying Rose Gose though.

I've been dying to try this one. Is it general consensus that it is the best Hoof beer?

 

I thought the Jackie O's collab was early May so surprised to see a Gose announcement come first. I would be surprised if they did a release on Mothers Day.

 

Konkey, Blabe, and Dragonsaddle are probably the consensus top 3

 

For most people. I'd debate DS with the Double Dry Hop Wangbar with Amarillo. That's still to date one of my favorite beers from them. I'd love to see him do a DDH batch of it with Mosaic.

 

I dug around on Instagram and the release date for Koffury (Jackie O's collab) is going to be 5/1 with a "mini release" at the brewpub on 4/28. This is from a HH comment on the Koffury announcement post.

Looks like:
5/1 -- Koffury
5/8 -- Rose Gosé
5/15 -- French Toast Imperial Stout (brewpub bottle release; to be named soon)
5/18 -- Wet When Slippery (brewpub bottle release)
5/?? -- EWS Calypso

I wouldn't be surprised to see this as the complete slate for May.

 

Think on the Rose Gose instagram post they said the second weekend in May which would be May 15th.

Could be. If they mean the second Sunday in May, it's the 8th. Koffury/Rose Gose back to back would be awesome.
