Pittsburgh - New Beers & Local Breweries

Agree, but need better/more places for good beer. Definitely lacking in that area. Mad mex should help with that if it stays

 

If anybody is in the CBG/North Strabane area hit me up. Looking to share some bombers that I cannot take down myself.

 

There are a few (several?) in the area. Might be interested in setting something up in May. April sucks with busyness.

 

There are at least 5-6 of us I think.

I have a good relationship with an owner of a cigar shop in CBG where he would allow us to do a bottle share. We would just have to throw him some business as a trade off. It's also across from a new brewery Rusty Gold which is we to open in Sept.

 

Pipers this morning was phenomenal. Lot of great local bourbon barrel stouts as well as a few others (KBS and Hammerhead Speedway in particular. Roundabout's Mimosa Gose was perfect for a heavy breakfast. Well done down there today!

Greenfield bridge is falling down is best collab by far and away in my book......havent had them all but was best ipa at rivertowne meet brewers event over sasquatch and pacific rim and others fo sho!

 

When Helltown is on, it's awesome. But it's a big "when."

 

Found this on tap last night by surprised and was instantly happy after the first sip. Was told that the keg was nearly kicked half way through my glass, so ordered another while I played with the first and wrestled a hanger steak salad. Really nice beer. Haven't had any of the other collabs, which I feel are often a mess (not specifically PCBW collabs, but all collabs).

Anyone try any of the others and care to share their thoughts?
