Also Small Batch (along with other Casey beers), Grapevine (Saison only), and Mile High (Saison only, I believe).

What @DenverBeerDrinker and @pmoney said but it's not a common occurrence. It might have been 6 months since we've seen Saison on the shelves last, so perfect timing on your part. Get it while it's hot!

Awesome! Thanks, fellas! Hopefully they'll stick around until next Friday. Plus the A line from the airport to downtown is finally in action?!?!? I couldn't have picked a better time to come!

Troy has also mentioned Saison is done until early Winter after this next release

Yeah, so weird. Saison and East Bank are slowly becoming twice a year blends.

I hope that's not the case, I need more East Bank.

The new version East Bank is amazing. It's one of my favorite Casey beers and it's "just" a flagship.

I think the main reason for the Saison "slowdown" is that he's trying to expand his fruited beer production. I'm not sure if that means he brewed more Saison than usual and is racking more on fruit, or if he is brewing the same amount and just releasing less un-fruited Saison.

Either way, I also need more East Bank!

He's definitely making more Saison. Just look at how many barrels he has now compared to a year ago! But I think the second part of your statement is correct - he's sourcing more and more fruit and is using most of his Saison base beer for Fruit Stands and CFPs.

20 is a little on the high side but definitely fair. The whole sale prices are not that much lower than what he sells the beer for at releases. I would say 19 is average..no need to crack the whip on a standard markup.

My point was that between GABF and now the price has gone up at least $1 per bottle at Mr B's. Troy hasn't raised the price of Saison.

And I'm not disputing any of the following, I'm not driving up and spending the day in GS. I don't have to buy it. They can sell it for whatever they want. Only pointing out that the store price is rising and the price at the brewery didn't.

I got one bottle of the Saison-it's right at the upper limit of what I'm willing to spend (rarely) on anything. I had some Hill Farmstead Dorothy last weekend, and am looking forward to seeing how the Casey compares. I thought the Dorothy was very good, but probably wouldn't pay $9.50 for a glass again. I didn't see it as being any better than Crooked Stave's saisons or even Trinity's, but it was tasty.

No doubt, I was just kidding around about cracking the whip. I was happy to see saison on any shelf and gladly swooped up 2 at $20. Drank one yesterday evening outside on the deck. Enjoyment level 9/10 with an estimated bottle valuation of $27.75

It goes down fast and is worth the money. I was thinking I wasn't going to get any Saison this next release but with it being the last release of it until winter I might have to stock up

Yea. It did take one small price change about 6 months ago but regardless..plenty of saison in addition to a little more east bank oak theory and blc at west vail lm if anyone is searching

Dorothy was not that impressive when I had it. I got a pour at a tap house and people were clamoring for it since it was the only HF they had on tap. I dunno, it just seemed really boring.

Agreed, additional Anna is up there with East Bank for me. Not sure if they keg that one. Is Crooked Stave distributing HF to Colorado?

(Briefly off topic) I think hype often makes even world class beers feel like a letdown. HF is probably falling victim to that. Never had anything less than amazing from them, but people make them sound transcendental. They're just beer.

I think Casey's saison line-up is typically on par with theirs...at least the beers that have some stylistic overlap. Pretty impressive considering he's also doing the Colorado ingredients thing, too.

I got it at BackCountry's anniversary party. I don't know if if CS had a hand in it or if they're tapping HF at their tasting room yet either.
