Dark Lord Day 2016

In years past they have crossed out some on the list, but that was when there was only 4 variants or so and they had big tarp posters printed listing the variants.

 

I heard that the variants are first come first served, but they're going to go through all of the 2015's first before offering the new variants.

 

You have to know the correct answer to "Who'd win in a wrestling match: Lemmy or God?" to get access to either Vanilla.

 

Could you imagine the tears? BA forums and Facebook would implode.

 

There would be wide-spread violence and rioting. FFF facility would be set on fire during DLD.

 

I was just thinking more about how funny it would be, and if they continued the practice of letting earlier groups get their bottles in later groups, then there would be some crazy sick waiting game of people trying to be in the last group or something. I guess this is the stuff I have to think about until DLD actually gets here!

I was right with skeleton witch and eyehategod. Anyone else notice skeleton witch set ends at 9:15? I wonder if Slayer comes out and plays all of Seasons in the abyss or reign in blood.

 

Do they give out bottle counts for the variants at all?

 

If years past are any indication, no, we'll only find out on DLD as people start getting bottles. But this is the most communicative I've ever seen floyds so you never know?

 

The bottles are numbered and show the total bottle count. So for example your Vanilla Bean might say 432/1200 or something like that on it.

They usually don't announce them, but people gather the info after the fact.

 

Assume it's the same as last year, but is there a festival map on the site?

 

Yeah. They have had a map the last couple years.

I think it was online, but i definitely know there is a map layout posted somewhere, whether it's online,or paper.

 

Is there a chance dark Lord comes to Colorado?

 

I would be inclined to say 0%. And if not 0% than certainly under 1%.

 

The Dark Lord may very well come to Colorado. And soon even. Three Floyd's Dark Lord? No, it's brewery only.

Nope. And we don't really need it to ever get here. We get plenty of stouts in CO that are at least as good as DL, many better IMHO. I still like Dark Lord, but DLD is more of the event than the beer itself. Now if I ever have the opportunity to sample Pappy Dark Lord again.....
