I thought they were coming to NC, I know duckworths got bottles, but maybe they decided not to distro here.

 

They have bottles of JK in Asheville

 

A few places in Charlotte recently got some as well.

 

AFAIK, the reason we get JK is because Shelton distro's JK and its just 'overflow' bottles for the time being, which would explain the lack of consistent JK bottles in NC.

 

JK comes in to Charlotte from time to time. Never lasts long and it's good stuff but not great. Shelton bros. is the distributor they also do prarie and green bench which we have been seeing more of as well. I hope this is a sign of things to come!

 

Love some JK, but the stuff we get here is not really their best stuff, it's leftover stuff like @c64person said.

 

Speaking of PoPo and Jester King, Steve posted this earlier today. No idea how much lasted through the day. Also, another vouch for PoPo's ability to get FF stuff.

 

When I saw this thread, I popped my bottle in the fridge and finally got around to opening it this evening. Definitely infected. Has anybody seen a response from the brewery on this issue?

 

I may be wrong, bit wouldn't their high percentage of wild yeast beers make it more likely that their clean beers could become infected? I'm no Brewer but i know that's why the funkatorium exists for wicked weed.

 

Yes and no. Even Brewers who deal in clean only can have issues, it's akin to running around town and dipping your pen in the community ink. Your bound to have an issue at some point.

 

Who uses pens that you have to continuously dip in ink these days???

 

Fonta Flora released Brun Brutus today on draught and bottles. It is the 'dark' version of regular Brutus and is absolutely delicious.

I'm taking a trip tomorrow afternoon

 

I do every day.... Especially in my brewing log.

 

Brun Brutus is phenomenal. Best dark saison I've had to date. The dandelion is very prominent on the finish. Left there at 1 today and there were multiple cases remaining.

 

I was there today as well. Brun Brutus was outstanding! I really love the tartness to it. Looked like maybe 8-10 cases left. It was going quickly though.

 

So excited to visit Fonta Flora the first weekend of May. More excited about that than I am my trip to Asheville.
