Been reading through all the info, advice, and comical nonsense in this thread.

Group B, staying at the Hampton in Minater on Saturday night. Going to try and be in line by 9:30ish. Bringing BA Westbrook 4th, BBH Vanilla, monsters Park Caribbean Rum, ground state, and Darkstar November. The plan is to get in line for bottles, bring the bottles back to the hotel, and then go back for the fun! Can't wait til Saturday, Cheers!

Does dark lord bottles ever make it to bottle shops in Michigan?

 

Legally, no. Dark Lord does not see distribution. It's all sold at Dark Lord Day or held back for future 3F events.

I feel like that was answered many years ago.

 

C'mon man, that's half the point of this thread! To answer the same questions every 5-10 pages. You don't get to 70+ pages with GOOD info!

 

Question for those who have been before: once the gates open at 10, how fast does the line move to get into the event? I'm riding up with some folks and they're not looking to get there much before 9:30-10. I was definitely looking forward to some line sharing before getting in, but I'm wondering how realistic that is if the gates have opened by the time we arrive.

(And yes I know I can share once inside, I ask because I was also gonna bring a couple meads to drink outside the gates rather than risk having to chug/toss them at security since our lovely state considers that to be wine.)

 

Do you know when tickets go on sale?

 

You'll be able to line share. We line shared last year when we rolled in at 2PM.

 

I have not gotten myself to trade my cellar away for Tree House IPA's, so I'm hoping to see them on Tap... What is everyone else hoping to see?

But in all seriousness and of the big NE IPA breweries: treehouse, other half, Lawson, hill farmstead

 

I would plan on being in line for at least 30 min. Over an hour is definitely possible, especially if you get there at 9.30. You'll have no problem popping bottles. The line to get inside is the easiest place to make friends, as you'll be talks and sharing with the people in front and behind you.
