Great idea! I'm going to go for it and post images on my Instagram account. Any hashtag ideas?

Wait, there is great beer that isn't made in New York? Hmmm, interesting.

I'd have to drive 15 to 20 minutes south into Fort Lee, and then pay bar prices for a growler. And that's if they even have anything on tap at the moment. It just makes more sense to me to do my shopping in NY.

Sorry NJ brewers, but as long as you ignore my area I'll have to make do with other places (not that I'm suffering exactly ).

Heh heh, that's kind of the way I look at it for beer...

Wow I thought their beers were more widely available. Liquor stores up in Sparta and Lake Hopatcong get growlers regularly of Kane and Carton and often have Carton cans. Huh.

As for Pocket Trick, I got a six pack of cans at Super Buyrite in North Plainfield. They also still have it in growlers.

    Braxton's in Covington is worthy.

Pocket Trick was in distribution a while ago. Not sure if they're making it a regular thing. I got a 6-pack at Joe Canals in Rio Grande a while back

I have actually gotten growlers of 007XX and Boat at Cable Beverages in Rockland County NY in the past. They just don't make regular appearances.

I could probably drink only Indiana brews for a month and remain pretty content. Might not be a bad idea since the only Indiana brewery that seems to get a lot of attention is FFF. There's actually quite a few lesser known (discussed) Indiana breweries that are making interesting and delicious beer.

Love the idea! Since it seems like you have yet to have been down our way, if you do make it down to Tuckahoe, please ask for myself (Sean) or Amanda. We would be happy to chat with you about the new beers we have been brewing, and how we have been working to improve the brewery! Cheers!

Beat me to it - this is certainly true. Even with the ridiculously easy to get stuff we could enjoy a tremendous variety of high quality beers from the six state region for a really long time. I'm 45 - 60 minutes from Jack's ABby, Mystic, Harpoon, Nightshift, CBC, Wormtown...Oh and Trillium's new spot is probably a half hour or so. Couple hours from Smuttynose and the southern NH breweries, Tributary, Hidden Cove. Fifteen minutes from Goodfellow's. Oddly enough, according to Google I'm an hour and a half from Proclamation, Grey Sail, a bit less for Tilted Barn - Rhode Island time warp....

So that completely redefines things! It is just a matter of how heavy your right foot is. I can make Portland, ME by lunch and only need to hit Warp 1... Realistically - without considering the heavies in the Vermont hinterlands - just sticking to a 50-ish mile radius from Boston still leaves me in fine drinkin' territory.

I'm in Texas for another 2 weeks, and plan on trying as many different "local" beers as I can under the watchful eye of Mrs. Zombies...

Just about the only non local I drink is Sierra Nevada, so much, so good. Night Shift, Notch, Wormtown, Harpoon, CBC, Newburyport and of course Jacks Abby.
