I don't mind spicy food at all but I have never once had a good beer that was made with chili peppers. Muerte would be at the very bottom of my list of beers to try, and I sure wouldn't spend money on it.

Still hoping it's not random. Forcing people to spend $50 on a bottle of beer they don't want is bad form.

I bet Muerte in chili would be quite delicious. Of course, $50 for a chili ingredient is a bit on the high end, but at least if you were to get one, there might be a positive outcome from the whole thing...

Hopefully I get a variant that doesn't have a weakness against crowds and mud...

I'll see you on the battle field sir! I choose you Marshmellow handjee

I loved Muerte. Ancho chiles are used in Barrel Aged Abraxas and that's probably the best beer that I've had.

this is from the updated tickets section on darklordday.com that last bullet point....i could see how someone would read that and think that basically they are just giving you 5 bottles in a tote bag randomly. Guess we'll find out soon enough! There is still information in the FAQ section that contradicts that IMO.

I enjoyed Conquistador de la Muerte so if I'm stuck at the bottom I don't think I'd mind some peppers

While I've had a few beers I've loved with peppers in them, generally speaking I'd probably prefer the beer without them (Prop '15 being an exception, because without the pepper it's wayyyy too sweet).

I think I'm okay with random, but the downside is that I'll be pretty disappointed if my girlfriend and I get two crappy variants (i.e. ones I don't want) the first time we've ever had a chance to try BA DL.

I haven't had all, but have had quite a few variants. All have been very good, some of the best beers I've ever had. That includes muerte, earl, aquavit and port which many people consider the "crappy" variants.

What is the Holographic Charizard in this lineup? French Vanilla, Marshmallow or BADL?!? I was a Charizard guy back when, so I'd have to say Marshallow is my Charizard, Vanilla has to be the Mew

This. I've had beers with peppers in them where the pepper was not really present on the palate. Anything spicy or where you can taste the peppers....no thanks.

I think we've already gone through randomization the day we bought our tickets.

I don't doubt it, and I hope that I feel the same. With that being said, I'm pretty picky in what I look for in a BA stout, so hopefully they don't disappoint on that end. I'm willing to experiment, just hoping said experiment is worth it!
