Buxton order arrived! A few classics, a few I've never had, and a few newbies - really looking forward to them all.

I've already seen a few pop on this thread, hoping they live up to the hype.

Quite looking forward to getting an Extra Porter. Buxton do the best strong dark beers in the world in my humble opinion.

    Also, Axe Edge, uhuhhuh...

    AleBrowar Crazy Mike
Pinta/Brasserie du Pays Flamand Krol Lata Roi de l'ete

Two beers from two of my favourite Polish breweries. Both great but Crazy Mike was an absolute belter of a Double IPA. Had most of the range of this brewery and have all been of a very high standard @ about 3 euros for 500 ml bottle inc delivery can't be beaten.

Brewdog Elvis Juice - alright, feels like the fruit and hops have either faded loads or were never really there to begin with

Oskar Blues Ten Fidy - very nice. Great balance between full-flavoured and downright drinkable.

Brewpups Jet Black Heart - Rather good, real thick for a sub 5%er . Cheap too. And Mr President, their DIPA I assume that is replacing the tesco DIPA. Another good one, not great

Spent an evening in Nene Valley Brewery's flagship pub. They're a new microbrewery in Northamptonshire that does American style craft beer on cask. Some good, some just so so. They've really gone for that silly craft nomenclature though. The strongest pale ale on the menu was described as an 'Everyday IPA'.

Were these from an online source? Quite fancy having a look.

On a separate note, had a King Maker over the weekend, and it did not fail to deliver. Lovely; citrus, thick, resinous, sappy, clawing. A rascal.

I've heard so many different things about this beer, I don't know if I want to commit to buying one. Everything from pure boozy mess to best DIPA this year.

    Yep, from here :

    http://ebrowarium.pl/payment-and-shipping-inf-5.html

Took 3 days to arrive, very well packaged and user friendly web page. Look under the beer by countries on the left and pick Poland.

I shared a bottle with a mate, and we were both impressed. Seemed to get better the more you drank (doesn't everything?!) - I'd certainly say give it a go if you get chance.

Not yet - seen pretty mixed reviews. Berliner Weisse's are one of my favourite styles, so I'm really (really) hoping for something good.
    Have you tried it?

I had it at the weekend, I really enjoyed it. Thought the bourbon and the sour flavours went well together.

2nd day off out of 3 so I went to Canterbury for the day.
Coach House Gunpowder Dark Mild with a bacon sandwich for breakfast in the Wetherspoons in Victoria (£3.80 for a pint in a 'spoons though!)
Pint of Gadds No. 5 Bitter with fish and chips for lunch.
Both delightful, I love wine but beer goes much better with food according to my personal tastes, especially quaffable dark beer like mild.

Gunpowder Dark Mild is one of the best milds I've had on draught... pretty good bottled as well.
