Cycle/ccb bottle releases

Wait.... Before TBBW releases it was Hazelnut wasn't it? Early December I think. Before that was DBR. I don't remember any extra BA stout on draft for DBR, I only remember Hazelnut was after because I didn't go to that release.

Right, because a quick search of RareDOS on here and Untappd will show the last reviews being of the infected growlers from 2012

It was the BA Day ticket sales day. Because my plan was just to get tickets but then I got sucked in for staying and having a beer since I was like "one of the base stouts? That's a RARE occurence...better at least try one"

As others have mentioned, GI doesn't release it's base stout (or barleywine) in a wide release. Honestly, not all base stouts are that good. Brewing and barrel aging beer is a complex process. It's quite possible for a beer that tastes only okay to be an amazing "base" for a barrel aged beer. For Example, I'm not a fan of Mexican Cake and find it to be rather mediocre but those BA Mexican Cakes are GREAT beers. Not saying that Cycle's "regular stouts" or base beers aren't good (I've only had one...the Rye Imperial Stout)

As others have mentioned, the infection was three years ago. It was actually before Cycle Brewing (at it's current location) had opened. It was back when they were still brewing out of Peg's restaurant. And Peg's has since been sold and has closed down. It is a bit confusing on BA because the listings exist from when it was Peg's and then a separate brewery page and beer list was later made for Cycle and then the two were merged. Honestly it needs to be updated
