Opening them would be the logical thing to do, but I seldom tackle anything above 16oz myself these days. Don't want to be that guy popping tart Strong Ales at a share.

How much does Oro usually sell for by the bottle at the brewery? Considering making the drive up on Monday

Better to drink amazing beer readily available than hyped beer that new money waiting in their mom's basement to buy a ticket for the release will grab anyways. Great business model but not worth the Hassel. Use those ticket sales profits to expand or move on.

Ticket sales profits? I was under the impression that the $5 ticket price went toward the purchase of your beer. Is that not the case?

Hoof is tiny and makes good beer, all of us neck beards are driving up hype but anyone can stop by their tap room and grab a konkey dong now or get a growler to go. Not really a hassle from anyone in the area. Heck, people will probably complain here about how Oro is too hard to find or that the drive to Athens from Columbus is too far or something. Hoof also does sloppy seconds at the brewpub to take care of their locals and the tickets are just to keep the can releases manageable since they don't have the capacity to host so many people. I think both of these breweries have done a great job making their releases less of a pain than places like tradehouse.

Why is it only new money that is buying tickets? I know plenty of guys up here in Cleveland who have been around for a long, long time and still try and get tickets.

Also, is JO's free of hype lately? Nah, I wouldn't say so, man. Pretty much every 375 release since Oro last year has been pretty hyped(at least for the first week or so, and like most excitement, is customer driven/created). Hype doesn't mean beers aren't or can't be great, either.

And no, I am not a Hoof fanboy. If anything, I'm a Jackie O's obsessive ****-fanboy.

Your right can't I just order oro on amazon and get it delivered?

Sorry there is just something about buying a ticket to be able to buy 12 ipas that seems too much next level for me personally. I'm just an old grump though so don't let me ruin the fun.

Just FYI, but this upcoming ticketed release is a coffee stout done in collaboration with that guy who used to have a beard and sometimes posts in here

I like that guy. I like the hoof hearted guys too. Like everyone but I'm just old and grumpy so I gotta make up things to grump about.

Are you taking over for me? You seem like a good candidate in which to pass the grumpy old guy torch.

I'm thinking about becoming kinder and more gentle in my old age anyway...

Just pay respect to the OG now and again!!
