Vergina is actually pronounced "ver-YEE-nah" and it's the name of an ancient town. If one was to go to Greece and ask for a "Vergina" (pronounced to rhyme with vagina) he/she would be met with blank stares.

So I had to take another good look at this brewery's logo and I have determined it looks like a guys hairy ass with a bar of Ivory soap suck up it sideways. Appealing?

Dude, gotta disagree, Pliny the Elder is a kickass name for a beer! And then once you read the story on the bottle, it's even cooler.

Anyway, I think the below are terrible names:

Butchers's HPA (apparently stood for 'Hawaiian Pale Ale', not even made on hawaii. And a godawful beer).

Sorry not Sorry IPA, and Unapologetic IPA. I dig Stone but come on guys. Both collaboration beers, both IPA's, with super similar names, both of them bad (the names, of course).

The Brown Note. I will never drink a beer with this name. The label is also vile.

Tiger Baby: Open Windows Open Hills. What the fuck, is this an art exhibit or a beer? (mikeller)

On the other hand, on a trip out to the West Coast to visit friends, I bought this beer as soon as I saw it. And nobody else at the party wanted to try it so I enjoyed my Moose Drool for the rest of my visit.

Agreed. Sadly this place got a little of my business.

On the good side, however, they did turn on cartoons for my kids and gave them pretzels.

Also agree with other poster about Miner Brewing. Facility is fantastic and beers were very good.

Magnolia has a barley wine called Old Thunder *****

Sure it has historical significance but it's hard to order a pint of that.

FYI- this beer is so much better on draft.. Drank the drafts for about a year before I picked up a 6er- it was still ok, but I was definitely let down. Not sure why it was so different- a complete shadow of the draft version- maybe freshness, storage issues. Still a big fan either way...

    Wow...just wow...

Those guys seem to have overshot 'adolescent double entendres' by a mile, and landed in creepy perv territory. Unless that's what they're going for. That's some business model they have going there- is it only found in strip joints?
