Let's just hope the forecast changes. As of now there is 90% chance of rain showers and thunderstorms. So far between all the visits I have made its either been stupid cold, raining, or snowing. I dream of the day I can sit down there in shorts and a tee shirt on a clear 75-85 degree day....

I went for the Citra release at noon and waited until 1:30 to get the actual cans. Since then, I've gone at 3 with little/no line.

I'll be getting to the brew pub today around 245 or 3. Do we expect it to really be that packed? At least that early.

I would say it will be very crowded considering the fact that the tickets sold out in 1 minute 33 seconds yesterday

I highly doubt it'll be as busy as ya'll think. Most people don't get out of work until 5pm and those who aren't local aren't likely to drive 2+ hours for a non-guaranteed allotment.

Let us know how it is-- I won't be arriving until 5 or so.

This isn't really any different than the pre-ticketed marengo releases. A lot of people drove hours round trip not knowing if they would be able to get their allotment but that never stopped anybody. Not everyone works until 5 PM either. Look how fast KBS disappears during the workday. Usually by the time I get off work at 5 PM it's long gone.

I'm working late so won't be attending, but I would keep in mind that just for the opening of the brewpub there was a line down the block half an hour before opening.

Right, and pretty sure they opened before five and it was a weekday.

I am more curious in how many allotments they have. Just going to do some simple math in my head....

It looks like it should be 105 allotments total since it is 2 - 4 packs per person. I hope some of you get some. See everyone on Sunday!

If we have learned anything in beer releases/events, the notion of "Most people don't get out of work until 5 pm" is pretty much irrelevant.

It looks to be the same as any other release if you add it up. I thought they mentioned two four packs per person at a first come first serve basis for 100 people. That's 200 four packs plus another 840 on Sunday (3 x 280 tickets). So 1,040 four packs divided by 3 would give you 347 regular 12 can allotments and they usually do 350 tickets so I would guess this is the same size batch as any other.

I haven't seen any mention of 100 people by HH. Can someone direct me to that mention?

I may have imagined it but I thought I saw that figure somewhere. I'll have to double check. It's hard to get good info from HH and I feel like you have to scavenge through Instagram and Facebook comments to get answers. I wish they would shoot out an email blast like Fat Heads does.

Did way more work then me! hahah

In other news, I know it says on the Hoof Hearted webpage they send out beer to one bar in Maine but in theory, does anyone believe this? Some guy on another forum post says Hoof is distributed up there and I called him out on it.

Hoof definitely sees limited distribution up there.

I've found myself checking all their posts on a semi-regular basis to get the best info. I've signed up for their brewpub mailing list... I'm just surprised they aren't using it. Some more transparency would be nice haha.

Wow, wonder how they pulled that out! Seems weird but I am guessing it is only draft release?

No, cans as well. It hasn't been for every can release but definitely for some. They have some sort of connection out there.

Same. Couldn't remember the details, but I bet someone in here knows.

I always marvel in the distribution system in place for craft beer. Why can't they distribute to Kentucky or PA :slight_frown:
