Dark Lord Day 2016

It says no "scheduled release" online. That doesn't mean there won't be an unscheduled release. Don't know that any of the releases in past years were "scheduled." I think they put that out there just to stir up fervor for their line. I wouldn't be surprised if the release extra online like they have in the past.

 

Aren't the numbers like half of last year though?

"Saw the line at Dark Matter, figured I'd go through the taps first, saw no line, grabbed ______ beer and it was really good! Dude, I know that, you know that, but why are you trying to let everyone else know that, too? Honor among thieves and shit, I know, but...I like my lines as short as possible!

Unless this is your way of using reverse-psychology to get in the front of the snifter line, in which case, well done!

You'll see me at the Compound lazily drinking Side Project mimosas and cracking a Broken Truck while eating breakfast tacos and setting up Yellow Rose beer pong at 10 AM when the gates open and the stampede of beer geek run-walkers shamble over to get in line for hot sauce and glassware that will be available at Dark Matter for a week after DLD.

No growlers allowed, your friends will want to change their lineup.

 

In past years DM has said prior to the event that the Gold and Colored (last year only) snifters would be available at DLD ONLY, and that Silver ones would be available online after DLD.

So I assume that they just don't have any planned for online sale, but will sell extras online after DLD.

 

No growlers allowed INSIDE. So line sharing this would be cool but you'd have to do something with the growlers before entering.

 

I've been curing a pork belly this week. The meat is from a hog we bought from a local farmer this fall. I'll be smoking it tonight for bacon, and then making some pig candy tomorrow.

 

Never been to DLD, but the thread about it is a pretty enjoyable reading experience for passing the time while hosting a one man bottle share.
