Why they don't do cans for the Alpha Experiment series is beyond me. They probably bought those bottles by the shipping container.

I wish CW4 was being canned instead of bottled as well.

Cans would make so much more sense for both beers. 750ml of an IPA is a little much. And I'd much rather pay $12 for a 4 pack than one 750ml bottle.

I have all the confidence in the world in this man, as he eats, sleeps, and breathes craft beer 24/7; and I'm envious of you, as I would love to have a brewpub in walking distance of where I live.

I am always confused by country boy. It would make sense to just use cans. They are cheaper and they already have a machine that does it. Why is it that they don't? They did it for shotgun wedding... they do it for cougar bait! IPAs are best out of cans. They don't lose their hop character as easily. Sometimes I just have to shake my head.

Anyway, I hope it is the Citra version but I bet it is another one. That brew was fantastic.

In other news and I will post it on the KBS page, Louisville Beer Store is releasing 24 - 4 packs of KBS on Sunday, May 1st. They also have specific verticals on sale from 2016-2013 for 42 bucks for the set. Interesting none the less. I have my KBS but for those still hunting, get to it!

    Agree on both counts.

When West Sixth and AtG have multi-pack cans of IPAs for under $10, CBB will really have to aim low on a price point to stay in the game.

I would gladly pay 10 dollars for a six pack of Country Boy Experimental Hop ______. The draft versions of those beers are always top notch and I like to support local breweries. It is frustrating that they are doing a bomber format. Utilize the canning line! Most breweries would kill to have that capability to use cans.

Anybody know if there are any more bottles of Avery Old Perseverance around Lexington? I know The Trappe had them last week but those are surely all gone by now.

Saw a bunch at Liquor Barn in Louisville as of yesterday. Doesn't help you much as far as Lex, but maybe check over there?

I didn't see any at the Beaumont Liquor Barn yesterday. They had a ton of Uncle Jacob's though. I'll check around tomorrow and see what I can find.

Sign up now for this Craft Beer Writing symposium at UK in September. Registration is free. And registering will get you an invite to a silly event the night before -- you might need Uber.

This is just another sign that I need to move back to Lexington.

Best rationale for that is the last time this event was held, it was at CBB only. So they're going to spread the love this time. I've volunteered my garage (where many bottleshares occur) for an event, but I don't think I'll get that lucky.

Went by CBB today hoping for the Rum BA Nate's Coffee Stout but it was apparently all gone. Settled for the BA JSP, and it was all Jalapeno with no barrel. It wasn't a bad beer, just not something I could drink more than 8oz of. Glad I tried it on tap before dropping $15 on a bottle of it.

Rum BA nates coffee was at pies and pints and I think hopcat? I can't remember to be specific but it sucks you weren't able to get some at country boy. It was very good! Anyway, hope Mexican chocolate is as good as it. Would love a good bottle of a Rum BA stout to show off and trade with some of my buddies.

Does anyone know the details of the 70k release? Bottle limits and prices would be awesome to know ahead of time, but knowing AtG they won't tell us until day of.

Their releases for these types of bottles is always a minimum of three per person, per trip through any line that may exist. No clue even about bottle sizes, so price is up in the air.
    I'd imagine it's priced close to B&L if it's large format -- $15.

I was thinking $18-20 per bottle and yeah, about 4 per person. But would gladly pay $15 too...
