It had to be cancelled last year - they just skipped a year...one of my favorite festivals each year (I've been to every one but the first). Assume this is for 2016! It's back! Also a heads up - these tickets sell out faster than just about any other festival, but I'd assume there will be more tickets this go-round.

Says nothing about when the event actually is. Seems kind of strange

I know last year they had some issues with the Liquor Enforcement peeps. I talk to someone who was apart of organizing it and they had mentioned they were possibly looking in June but nothing was finalized/confirmed. It was more of a lets see how Strong Ale goes first. Time will tell.

I have not been able to make this event in the past, and am really excited to finally be able to attend this year. I'm sure their new campus will be an excellent venue.

In 2013: $55 for 16 2oz pour tickets. Found an old email.

Is this date locked in? I still don't see it on their website. The only reason I'm asking is because my wife and I are vacationing to Colorado and we're trying to lock down what cities we want to be in on what dates.

It should show up now on the Avery event page. I got some info I'll share:

Tickets will be through Two Parts website. Limit 2 per transaction.

Tickets do go on sale Friday, 5/6 at 9 am. They will be $80 per ticket (no additional ticket fee) for:

    - unlimited tasting
    - access to palate cleanser beers and snacks
    - Tums
    - commemorative tasting glass. It will be a nice tulip glass.

    Cheers!

I was also told about 100 more tickets available than years past due to about more room. I'm stoked!

Do you guys/gals think it's worth $80/ticket based on prior years?

I love Sour Fest, but that price tag has made me seriously think about this one.

Went for it. I'm usually not a fest guy because I try to keep my binge drinking to a minimum, but it seems like a great introduction to Colorado beer and I'll be on vacation so **** it!

Seriously is a very nice festival, my personal favorite. I've been 3 times and always am impressed. I'm excited to go this year because I haven't seen the new facility, and this gives me an excuse to get up there.

Just keep in-mind that unlimited tasting does not equate to unlimited supply. At the last SourFest, the bottles were largely tapped within 90 mins or so, with some (Waelzblood at the time) being tapped within 30 mins. Hit the bottles first, then the kegs, and do not expect an unlimited supply.

It was worse at WtF!? - but even then there was beer to be drank until the last 30 min.

I've been to a lot of Sour Fests and there's always plenty of beer to be had, even if it's just Avery's.
