That was one of my favorites and one that I was not expecting.

 

I'll preface this by saying I had my chance to preorder Compression bottles, and I was just too lazy to pull the trigger that early. And I'm also not bitter about missing out on them because I'm not a huge sour fan in general. BUT...

How do you sell out of a bottle release at a release event?? Especially when you have a relatively high limit on bottle purchases. I've never heard of this with any other event that had both a purchased ticket to get in and a bottle released there as well. How do you let a ton of people walk out with MULTIPLE bottles and then a handful of others get none. So backwards. You knew what your bottle count was and you knew how many people were coming. Years past, leftover special release bottles for this event sat in the pub for days if not weeks. Clearly a big miscalculation this year...

OTHERWISE... I had an awesome time. Loved Sweep the Leg and #sportz and Critterless. Food was great, music was awesome, and weather was just right. Also, how do you beat Joe Short fronting a band called Braxton Hicks and the Contractions? Too good.

 

had an awesome time, weather was perfect, music was really damn good, taplist was outstanding. loved sweep the leg, tip ta tip, critterless, and erratticus 4. i liked the layout this year and the line moved really quickly. brunch this morning was great as well.

 

its not really a release event, its a party that also has beer to go. im guessing maybe they didnt want a bottle line clogging everything up but who knows. i was pretty shocked by no limits but im guessing most people who wanted this beer were able to get some.

 

Had a great time yesterday. Lines were hectic from 5-7 but super chill before and after that. Beers we're going down well and I was coherent enough to dome a bottle of compression to cap the night.(@BEERschlitz, very good beer, might have liked it a little more without the stout blend, but very curious to see how this develops.)

Good times with all the guys in the pic that I missed due to taking a break to get bottles.

My only downside was purchasing a white hoody and squeezing a clogged bottle of BBQ sauce all over the sleeve 5 minutes after buying it.

My shorts homerism is alive and well. Can't wait for next year.
