If you're in SoCal, I just picked up a six pack at the Butchery in Costa Mesa. I'll follow up after I get to try it...

This beer is nothing like Bitter Oats fyi. And frankly, could barely tell that they used any oats at all. Neigh I say to this beer.

Tastes like a worse All Day IPA. If you like carbonated hop flavored water you'd like this.

I didn't think it was at all like a session ipa. It had way more mouthfeel, I also don't think they were going for some over the top hoppy beer with low abv. It seemed nice and balanced with a light peach/apricot hop presence. Overall a very nice everyday ale.

I found a six for $7.50 too, can't beat that. I'll be buying more

Great daily drinker with some nice notes coming from the Amarillo and will be a constant in the fridge along with two hearted.

Yeah, really enjoyed this one, plenty of hops with a solid mouthfeel, crazy for the low ABV.

Yep. I'm disappointed with this beer. The taste reminds me of Founders Mosaic Promise, which I was also disappointed with. It's like, almost flavorless, with a massive aftertaste like dirt, and almost no fruitiness. And the oat presence is almost undetectable. With more oats and more dry-hopping, I think it could be a pretty good beer, but yeah, kinda let down with this one.

It's been awhile since I had Mosaic Promise(didn't care for it) but I don't recall it tasting anything like Oatsmobile. I get a nice balance of spice and lemon. I do agree though that the oats were a bit thin. It's called OATSmobile after all

It reminded me of Mosaic Promise in that the fruity notes upfront were bland and muted, and the finish turns watery with an almost overpowering earthiness.

I didn't find anything overpowering from Oatsmobile. Different strokes. I hope our opinions line up more with the release of Quinannan. This is a beer I could see becoming a staple in my fridge next to two hearted. A name change would help with marketing though, how do you pronounce Quenoonen, Qweenaynen? Just called that shit Q-falls

Yes, I can't wait for that! I love pilsners and Simcoe is one of my favorite hops, so that should really hit the spot. And I have no idea how it's pronounced. I've just been calling it "the Simcoe pilsner".

    Solid ale.

It doesn't have mosaic or citra like most pales, but it's good, and it has a nice mouthfeel and is slightly filling. Not much hop aroma either, but it's kind of a unique tasting beer. Good for a seasonal.

I actually had it side by side with Mosaic Promise and I thought they tasted completely different. Much different approaches in the formula.

Mosaic Promise was also much better imo..I'd say it's one of the best nationally distributed pale ales out right now, next to Daisy Cutter and Hoppy Birthday.

Wait a minute. The Bell's page says it has Mosaic, Equinox, and Glacier. I have seen about the lack ok of Mosaic, and the distinct Amarilllo on this thread.

Put it in 12oz cans and I'll buy it, imo, all session beers should be canned.

I haven't seen cans or draft of Fort George's Sunrise OPA in a long time. Are they even still making it?

I don't think they're canning it anymore. I think it's still available draft, but I'm not sure.

My hopes became reality during my last visit to Michigan. It's an easy drinker, without suffering from the 'hop water' curse plaguing so many of the session-trend beers.

(Really, I'm here just to say I feel like I've hit the big time now that I've received a like from sierranevadabill!)
