Beers for Cinco de Mayo?

Surprising my wife with a trip to Napa/St. Helena for our one year wedding anniversary on cinco de mayo, so my beer of choice will be sourced from grapes.... That is until we go to Russian River on Saturday and have a plethora of Pliny/ Sours!!

OB Beerito is damn good.
For actual imports, Bohemia and Negra Modelo are still tasty to me.

 

As other have mentioned, if I can find this beer this will be the 'one'.

Sadly, the only Mexican beer available in my area is Corona Extra, Corona Light, Dos Equis Especial, and Modelo Especial.

I think Modelo will have to do!

 

Haven't had Mexican Cake so I can't recommend it, but if Cinco de Mayo were MY birthday, I'd be ISO

 

Had I the resources to hit up the preferred Mexican restaurant, I'd be hittin' the Pacifico.

 

It's my birthday and will probably be drinking various offerings, but my go to Mexican has got to be Bohemia!

 

Why would I want to celebrate 5 de Mayo? They are drug dealers, criminals, rapi... Oh, wait...

On a serious note, my family (and most friends) don't really celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but I guess I could get a 6 pack of Negra Modelo and drink half with my dad. We don't go to many Mexican restaurants, since we mostly eat Mexican food at home.

 

If you could find Negra Modelo, I recommend that.

I've been to Mexico quite a few times and I always seek out Negra Modelo. Sadly, it's not available in my province.

The provincial government controls the liquor stores and there is no real variety from store to store

 

Ah, I see. Well, when ever you go to Mexico again, I also recommend 'Bohemia Obscura'.

Found a variety 12-pack of Mexican beers. Sol, Tecate, Dos Equis Lager, and the elusive Dos Equis Azul. We finished off almost the whole thing yesterday, lol. Will probably skip the variety pack for the holiday itself and go straight to Dos Equis. Good stuff.

 

This thread needs more Pacifico love.

 

Saw that variety pack at a couple different stores recently! Didn't think to grab it for some added fun on Cinco de Mayo

I think my Cinco deMayo drink would have to be Clamate juice mixed with some Tecate.
