I was probably like #20 in Group B and there was no Marshmellow Handjee when I got in there - was very happy to snag a Vanilla Militia though.

As promised, some stomach-churning casualty pics:

This first one occurred before they even got out of the variant room...they stood there for a good time staring in disbelief

This one we heard before we saw it as we were exiting the brewery, it truly sounded explosive.

We saw this lost variant bleeding out, but getting swept up and kicked to the side by the time we got there. I was able to snap the evidence before it was gone--I think it was a Rolando.

And these weren't even all the casualties we saw. Poor folks. Every time it seemed like no one was around them and they were just staring at the ground in complete confusion and devastation.

I finally got to taste this instant legend...lmfao! Obviously not what they paid for, but it really wasn't bad, nothing terrible like I've heard the Barleywine was.

Since others were asking, this was the day after. Parking was basically in the culdesacs and side roads since all the fences were still up around all the lots. This line wrapped around the curb behind us and onto the road.

The tap list the day after (Lazersnake was replaced with regular 2016 DL)

Food doesn't just hit the spot, but is nicely creative

In closing, here's a happy memory, in case you already forgot the magical atmosphere, intentionally or otherwise.

I must have been right by you as they said the same thing when I was there. I grabbed fvm, though. It was truly the final minutes of Group A.

Saw that guy. Felt bad for him. Huge dude with vomit all over his arm. He actually was passed out and standing up hugging the recycle bin - he was there for a good 1/2 hour. Felt bad that whoever he came with would just leave him there.

Just be careful next year if there is a "coat/beer check" van, sounds like a wonderful way to steal a van load of Dark Lord....

WHAT? Good lord - I must have checked the guest taps like 10x and never saw anything like that.

I lined up for B around 11:55, was told about 12:10 both vanillas were gone by a FFF employee. Then to my surprise French Vanilla available at variant stands.

He had no intention of selling. I don't know many people that would pass up that offer though.

That is a big offer! My buddy was offered $270 for the Marshmallow Handjee as soon as we walked out, but he said no. If someone said $500, he probably would have taken it. As for myself... I'm not sure. This is my 'white whale' so letting the bottle go would be quite difficult, even for that amount.

I was offered $250 too, by two guys just waiting for people to exit the brewery.... We were in very early and it was obvious what variant we had. We ate, watched our bags like hawks then returned to the hotel(we came back). With all the horror stories I'm glad I did. Who knows if dudes would be following us waiting to snag a bottle from us. People in line were telling me police were in line trying to get people to sell to bust them. Not sure how true that is.

I was about 100th in group B and my buddy got Militia (there were less than 10 left at that point) and Handjee was out so I went and got BBA instead. The capitalist in me said the better move would have been also getting a Militia and trading for a BBA +, but I figured I'd keep it simple and let it go to another Ber. We had a great group around us with music and awesome shares going including Caffe Americano and some de Garde and SARA. Hopefully one of those guys were able to get a militia.

Not everyone got a variant. I'm a brewpub investor, and we had separate lines inside to purchase our Dark Lord, which I gladly did. When I asked if I could purchase a variant, I was told, "DON'T YOU GET ENOUGH ALREADY FROM 3FLOYD'S?". Yes, I was told that. Yes, I do get profit sharing checks, of which I'm grateful and happy to collect. But you asked ME to be an investor, not the other way around. I willingly put up my money 12 years ago to help you get the brewpub up and running. But it's blatantly obvious that now that they have made their millions that 3floyds wishes all investors would just go away. I guess their thought is if they treat us badly enough we will.
