Excellent point. Think of all the people who aren't JO's drinkers who will show up at the brewery for her visit and have a beer while there.

 

Pretty much this. Even if I wear a Make America Great Again hat to sleep at night, I'd welcome this opportunity to provide great exposure to my business. I don't think this is mixing in politics and business.

 

I can't wait till next year.

 

It was neat seeing the secret service guys and cops casing the joint today while I bought my case of Oro. Super chill atmosphere, I know I'll be back!

 

never having had Wood Burner before, it's now my second favorite JO beer, first being the BA VC DA.

I have always said that this one flew under the radar somehow.

 

Excited to try wood burner again.. Only one I had was a 14' (recently) or whatever it was the last time they brewed it and it wasn't anything special. I figure the smoke flavor that what this beer is known for faded off significantly. Hope to snag a bottle and try it fresh.

 

The smoke flavor was always really balanced from what I remember, but it's probably been a year or more since I last had one. I'm not sure if I'll be able to go down there anytime soon but I'm hoping to try this new batch.

 

It's not that smokey. '14 is drinking crazy awesome right now. Incredible balance and depth. If you didn't think that was special, your mouth may be broken.

 

Yeah. It wasn't real smoky in the first place. I think that a lot of people were probably scared off by that assumption.

 

It was a good beer, no arguing that, but there was no special quality about it aside from that. I have had dozens of other BBA stouts with "incredible balance and depth". My mouth isn't broken, just "experienced".

My quick tasting notes from when I had it: "Intense bourbon, slight smokiness. Vanilla notes. Well made, but nothing stands out - overpowering bourbon".

 

Is Wood Burner going to see distribution? Would love to grab a bottle of it.

If it were barrel aged people would lose their minds it's a great beer though definitely excited for wood burner it's my second favorite Jackie o beer behind champion ground

 

BA Wood Burner was a gem. lb 4 lb one of the best beers made in OH in 2014 and it's among the best BA beers to ever come out of OH. Top tier stuff. Come at me bro. Now off to hopefully try some new Oro tonight! Cheers y'all.

 

Oro and BA Wood Burner have hit the Columbus area. I saw some at Weiland's today... supply going quickly.
