Beers for Cinco de Mayo?

I will be quenching my thirst my own sweat and tears... I manage a major corporate brand tex mex restaurant lol

 

I usually go with negra modelo or pacifico for the Mexican selections, and I think pacifico is my favorite of the adjunct lager category on the Mexican side. Easy drinking and pairs well with mexican food.

It's my birthday, so whatever I want. )) Sometimes go Mexican with the food, not the beer. ; )

I have one ST 2XPRESSO left, & usually add hot pepper to it, so maybe that.

 

I've always thought Tecate is actually pretty decent. Tequila makes me silly.

 

Negro Modelo, or a cold Dos Equis. I alternate at the local Mex joint, he'll there's 4 within 6 minutes of me and we kinda rotate.

 

Working late on Thursday and early on Friday. I will be drinking some No Rules late on "seis de Mayo" because fuck it, and after all it IS no rules.

Some of the IPA's/pale ales that I've traded for recently, depending on what I feel like on Thursday (and what I've drank between now and then). Various Treehouse, various Trillium, Jai Alai or Head Hunter most likely.

My guilty pleasures are tecate and modelo especial. They just go so well with street tacos.

 

Is this really a thing? Was there an Ides of March beer thread? I didn't have a special April Fool's beer either. I must be slacking. Better start planning for Flag Day now.

 

Pigeon Hill: Feisty Latina Mexican Stout... been looking for a reason to drink this one.

 

Yeah. I'd definitely give the Mexican Coffee Cake a try. Not likely to find it. Hot peppers in beer is not for me.

 

I like chilies in stouts. Have had a couple peppery hot IPAs and they were 'fun' to drink but not something I'd go in search of.
