If you feel like venturing after RR, you could take a cab 5 miles north to Cooperage Brewing (and Plow Brewing?). Have heard good things about Cooperage and will be visiting them after RR next week...

I was just joking!!! Honestly Russian River and SARA in my opinion are probably my the top two places in the state. (Highland Park #3).

From my experience, I'd stick with Pliny, Blind Pig, Consecration, Supplication, and any other top sour. The various pale ales and IPA's are fine but you're better off rolling with the big names

Philly actually gets all of those so I am a little more interested in everything else. Definitely going to do the flight. Can't leave without having some Pliny and supplication though.

I'm visiting this Saturday. Is there any advantage to getting there right at open? Will there be a line? I'm from NYC/NJ so I'm used to waiting in lines for beer

Pretty much always a line, especially weekends, assuming you want a table and not just beers to go. Yes, get there before opening or as close to opening as possible.

you can prolly get more than three bottles of pliny, but you wont be able to take em on the plane with YOU. They will ride in the belly down below :astonished::wink:

@stevebrownsteve, I went on a Tuesday in March and got there at around 1pm. No line, and wife and I got a table no problem.

Just my experience, assuming there are lines Fri - Sun.

Be sure to have some Row 2/Hill 56!

^^disregard, I missed that you were going on Saturday. I'd say if possible go on a weekday.

Also as we said earlier in the thread...pliny bites...don't think, don't look at a menu when you sit down..immediately order a pint and pliny bites. then you can look at the menu.

Everything in this thread is solid. Gonna jump in and add one thing... Row 2 Hill 56 is fantastic.

If Pig was Pliny's unknown cousin, R2H56 is even less unknown. FANTASTIC beer. Every time I got there, I get a growler of R2H56. So damn good.

Also, I typically recommend getting there at 10:50 on a weekend. If you're there later than 11:30, you might not get in on the first wave...

My favorites which I make sure to get full pours of: Blind Pig, Row 2 Hill 56, Temptation (not avail...). Have all that with Pliny Bites (you can request extra sauce at no charge btw). If you are with friends, get the Margharita pizza too....really solid.
