Should be a big week! Stopped in on Friday and was told we will probably see DDH Melcher, Mettle, Heavy Mettle and more. I think he said they could end up packaging every day!

Also nice to see that they had a food truck at Canton on Saturday. That & full pours would be a recipe for success

I picked up 5 bottles at the Fort Point store. I've only had Trillium once at a bottle share and I don't even remember what it is that I had.

    For this trip:
    The Publick House
    Fort Point Mosaic
    Night & Day
    Pot & Kettle
    Vicinity

I think I did good, but I drew a blank on what I wanted as soon as I got there. So I just went with my gut.

    Hello all!

Does anyone have the most updated lists of hops used in each beer? I have one saved from a while ago but am doing some exploration and would LOVE an updated list!!!

    Thanks!

I love Canton. Only two other people in there at 7 tonight. I remember the last Heavy Mettle release being a complete shitshow. Didn't it only last 2-3 days?

I know the last release didn't make it to close on the 3rd day. I was stuck at work late 2 days that week, it's one of the few releases I missed out on over the past year.

I had a similar experience tonight at FP. I walked in at 7:10 to find only 2 other customers and walked out maybe 5 minutes later with a growler of Heavy Mettle and a few bottles.

I happened to be in the area around 12:15, had no idea Heavy Mettle was on and was the only person there that wasn't on the payroll. Not sure on how long it lasted last time but Heavy Mettle is the only one I hadn't had aside from the one-offs like Headroom and Green Street plus anything with Apricot or Blackberry in it. I suppose there's different coffee in the P&Ks I haven't had either, but my point is that I haven't rushed over for anything and the few I mentioned plus Heavy Mettle are the few I've missed.

I have a feeling people are holding out for Upper Case which is also a premium priced dipa that will be out in a few weeks.

I really hope it's this. Also, forgot to mention this last night, but I overheard someone who works there saying they hope to have full pours up and running in the next month or two.

I realize this is impossible to predict exactly, but ballpark how busy (lines?) is it later on Friday afternoons in Canton? Making my first visit to Trillium then and their website says that is one of the busiest times.
    Also are the bottles cold?

Bottles are cold, yes. And I'd say that unless there's some sort of big exciting release, even when it's busy in Canton, you're in and out in a matter of 10-20 minutes at worst.

I went on a Friday at 6:15 a month or two back and there were only a few people in the bottle line ahead of me. Most I've waited was a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago (for Scaled Way Up) and that was maybe 15 minutes in line for bottles/growlers. It certainly won't take up much of your day.

On an aside, did you like Scaled Way Up? I enjoyed it overall, but it was almost chewy to me... like, too much turbidity with too big of particulate. I think I like normal Scaled Up way better (which is probably good, since they won't make SWU again).

I'm not gonna complain if you put a Scaled Way Up in front of me every night for the rest of my life, but there's lots of Trillium brews I'd choose over it.

I liked it a lot, I thought there was a lot going on with it, that made it very rewarding to drink. I haven't had Heavy Mettle in a while but I'd put it on par with that in terms of quality, (my top 3-4 Trillium DIPAs). I think Dialed In is my favorite of their DIPAs but I have yet to have Headroom or Upper Case.

I can see how you could prefer Scaled Up to it, Scaled Way Up can be pretty intense. Personally, I think my palate is shifting more towards the 'let the hops shine' IPAs of New England but to each his own.
