I've seen (or rather saw on Twitter) them at Urban Grape (Boston) and Boston Wine Exchange, so I believe they have already dropped. Not sure when other parts of the state would be getting any.
Saw them yesterday at Blanchard's. Didn't look like anything really interesting in them so passed but they are definitely around if you want them. They had a bunch on the floor.
Interested to hear people's thoughts on this. Minus the Ninkasi beer, last year's was an abomination....
I passed this year. Last year's was one of the worst buys I made. I'm generally let down by collaborations in that they fall short of the breweries core offerings, but the beer camp beers were just not good at all.
What are people seeing for prices, I saw one store tweet $29.99 in passing! I figured it would be in the $17-$20 range like their special mixpacks usually start at. Some store will end up selling them at the same price as the regular 12's, maybe Wegmans ed - uhh ok nevermind Wegman's then
I was super excited to get the 2014 one and split it with a friend. We did the whole thing and there were like 1-2 beers I would give better than a 4 to on BA. Hopefully this year's is better. I still have another unopened 12 pack of the 2014 lol
Apparently 6 of the 12 beers are session beers. One is an "Imperial Session IPA". Whatever the fuck that is. Not sure how they get off charging that much but when you have that many names on a box, people wanna get paid.
There are only 6 different beers so not sure where you got your info. The Imperial Session is just a play on words, it's a 7.5% IPA. I would say two of them are session beers.
Unless I'm misreading, only one of the six beers in the pack is under 5%. And even that beer is 4.9%, which is only "session" by the the most generous interpretation of the term. It's beside the point, but "session" does not necessarily mean inexpensive to produce.
Exactly, and half of them are over 7%. The avg ABV of the pack is 6.55%. Not exactly a "session" filled pack. I think @Chaaaarlieeee needs to double check his math next time. That said, pricing is still steep.
I grabbed a 12 pk at Marty's in Brighton for $30. Little steep, but worth splitting with a friend, imo. The imperial session is named Moxie Moron, so they're just having some fun with the style
