I just scanned quickly though the results of this year's World Beer Cup and noted that Straub Brewery won a Bronze for their Kolsch. Congratulations to them; this is indeed a tasty beer!!

The other day I found Reissdorf Kolsch in 4packs of 16oz/500ml cans for the first time - but at $17 I passed.

 

Only in America...

 

Had a whole six of Goose Island Summertime Kolsch but honestly it was similar to an upscale Budweiser. Its was an ok beer for what it is but there are much better examples, Schlafly Kolsch being my favorite.

 

That's a very high price. Where I shop, the new cans are a better value than the bottles (which were always priced very high compared to Gaffel).

 

Other Half and Bunker's Boogie Board Stuntz Kolsch was outstanding. Crackery with german hop flavor balanced out with some mosaic. Really enjoyable for the summer. Wish I had more..

 

Please don't get us started with that one.

 

I like Reissdorf, and have not seen the cans yet, but the $12+ four packs get passed on regularly by me.

I'm not sure who is setting their pricing, but do they really expect a $12 4 pack to sell when Gaffel is widely available and usually an $11 6 pack?

 

This store (B&B beverage in Bayside, Queens) has weird prices - some beers are priced correctly others are out of whack, so not sure if that's the correct price or not. I'd jump at the chance to buy fresh kolsch in cans in the NYC area.

 

Nothing can be "balanced out" with some Mosaic.

 

I'm a big fan of Clown Shoes Mango Kolsch, awesome on a hot day after mowing the lawn.

 

They are pretty good but somewhat kinda boring.
