Place doesn't usually get busy til 4-5, unless it's a weekend or a release of course.

I'm talking about the drive itself...small towns, 2 lane roads, hills, curves, inability to pass, boring and Amish buggies. Once you hit I-90 there is no issue.

Boring? The drive can be a pain, but the scenery is the saving grace. I really like the stretch between Preston and Harmony, where it seems like you can see rolling green hills and woods forever.

Yeah, try driving from Iowa city to Decorah. Pretty boring shit until you roll up closer to Decorah.

I love the Rochester drive!... Just wish I had more free time to do it more often. It's fast (time-wise) and scenic.

Alternatively, if you're an East coast interloper like me, the drive from the TC is great because there's actually some hills in SEMN/NEIA.

Hard to see the rolling hills when you're one-eyeing it home after a two pints

I still got Morning Delight tonight. Plus a pretty decent amount of Sosus left too. They hinted at something special tomorrow. I guess it is the Kentucky Derby and all.

I'm finally checking out the taproom today. I've actually got a Saturday completely free, so with MD pouring, I don't see why not. Do they take cards there, or do I need to stop at an ATM on the way?

We have crazy things like electricity and the Internet in Iowa now. I know it's hard to wrap your head around,

Now excuse me while I hose my backside down, we still haven't figured out how to stop shitting our pants and drooling.

I'm just giving him a hard time.

That said, has anyone ever been to a cash-only tap room?

Lift Bridge was cash only at the Silhouette release.

Cash or tokens, which you could get tokens using a card. I think this model is a lot easier for the Brewer and workers on big releases like that.

It is rare, but there are bars that are cahs only in the Twin Cities. My wife's small home town is a lot of cash only including my mother-in-law's small flower shop. I suspect it is the same for the other businesses, but for my mother-in-law. It comes down to cost, mostly on each charge. Now she could charge more, but they are already paying higher prices in their small town.

I wouldn't think many taprooms would be cash only, but I would expect there are some out there.

Anyone know the closest place to the Twin Cities metro that Sosus distro will hit?

I don't think anyone knows for sure just yet
If you want to make sure you get some, I would think about driving to Decorah today. If Wisconsin doesn't get it, that could be the closest to the Twin Cities that get it.
