I have never heard of it. I'll check it out this week. Cool!

So, I recently (about a month ago) was at a beer store that had an "on sale" section of random bottles. I bought a Diebolt Commodore bottle and later realized the bottle was 16oz and this year's release is in standard 22oz bombers. Can anyone verify if what I bought is last years release? I looked and there is no bottling date or release year on the label. I'm not upset as it's a BBA stout and a year of age would hopefully only make it better.

Dug Comrade's 2015 BA Quit Stalin. '16 (bourbon) is solid, too, but '15 is where it's at.

    Did they do growlers?

They will growler anything, is my understanding.

They had growler prices on the menu on Saturday and they typically will put anything in a growler.
The BA items were the bomb across the board, but I think the non-BA 2014/2015 Quit Stalin was the best beer of the day. I only got to have a little bit, but it was killer.

I've not seen Chubna here on shelves, but grabbed a GUBNA Tequila BA can the other day, and it was one of the strangest beers I've had. From anyone.

Had Black Bottle's Imperial Rotgut Bourbon BA stout last night called Cuban Missile Crisis.

It was probably the most vile thing that I've ever tasted.. I mean, it is 18% ABV and from BBB, so I don't know what I was expecting. Never again.

So now that it's out, is Callipygian as voluptuous as it sounds?

It's a solid high ABV stout. The coffee is prominent. I didn't get much vanilla but it was lurking in the background. It had some alcohol heat to it, which I don't mind, but some will want this to sit a bit.

It isn't as good as either UJ or Tweak, but still a really good beer.

Not to mention the name belongs to Renegade, and it doesn't make any sense for a BOURBON barrel RIS; Cuba = rum, ergo a RUSSIAN imperial stout aged in rum barrels, like Renegade's, it makes historical sense to call that "Cuban Missile Crisis."

Wow, I had the opposite experience, I got a lot of vanilla and felt that like the coffee was a little hidden behind that. It was very good, but I think with a little time as the heat and the vanilla fade a little bit it will be fantastic.

It may have been mentioned above already, but I damn-near chugged a Colorado Whisky Barrel Aged Quit Stalin at Comrade tonight. Wow, was that stuff good.

Interesting. I missed the vanilla as well. Coffee and bakers chocolate. For me it's Tweak > Callipygian > UJS. Grabbed a few bottles so we'll see how it develops compared to those others.
