Bug Flies In Your Beer ... What Do YOU Do?!

Pinky finger pull out usually works for me.

 

I am still trying to figure out what fucking glass you are drinking out of that you can't get a finger in it

 

Maybe he just has Vienna Sausages for fingers.

 

Swirl the beer until he sticks to the rim. Then pluck a hair and lay it in, allowing him to climb to safety!

I'll be reading this thread. A lot of people on here like to pour perfectly good beers down the drain without flies in them, and then brag about it. Can't imagine what they'd do with an insect in the beer. My honest answer, if I can scoop it out of the foamy head, keep drinking. If it's floating on top of the beer with no head as a barrier, dump it.

 

While I would just dispose of the little bugger and drink up...

....I cannot help but think that some of the current crop of Southern California Millennials that I work with would need to seek a safe space', find adequate counseling, procure a cleanse and receive a participation trophy before continuing on.

 

Unless he meant it sunk to the bottom if so that fly has had its fucking fill and if so I am like @JackHorzempa give me that beer back goddamnit

 

I agree with the school of thought that says just overlook it and keep drinking. That's certainly not the worst thing I've had to put out of my mind.

 

I was wondering the same thing. If i tilt the glass i can get a bug out of any of the glasses i own. That being said if for some reason i was drinking out of an erlenmeyer flask and couldn't reach it with my finger id just drink the bug

 

I was going to post something regarding this as I've noticed that when drinking sour beers, these little gnats appear out of nowhere and land in my beer. I fetch them out and keep on drinking.

 

If the flies are large enough you could strain them through your teeth then spit them out.

 

It depends on the bug and the beer. A gnat, small fly or bee are OK. Anything larger and the beers gets drain poured. Unless the beer is a good sour or saison. In that case, I pretend the bug never happened.
