Missed cans by 10 minutes. I'm actually surprised they sold out so quickly, some of the recent "non-crazy" releases have gone much deeper into the afternoon. Oh well.

Had a great time at the Other Half can release yesterday. Got 2 four packs of AGE and 2 bottles of Table Beer. Arrived at 11:15 and there was zero line, just walked up and got my bottles and cans. Hung out for an hour or two and tried some of the other on tap beers. Loved the Crush It! and King's Ransom. The food was awesome as well.

This was my third can release trip and I've apparently have been lucky to never have been in a line or not get any of the beers. Been to AGE/Table Beer, City Slickers/Lime Green Galaxies, and Get Wheated/Galaxy IPA.

Drove to Finback after Other Half and I don't know how New Yorkers do it. I'm used to traffic, but that drive was ridiculous. It took 45 minutes to drive 8.5 miles from Other Half to Finback. And the funny thing is there was really no gridlock traffic or jams that I got caught in. Just 278 traffic lights that are all red.

Because AGE is the shit. Always sells out the day of. Not one to sleep on by any means.

Anyone get into any of their cans yet? That last batch was incredible. Wondering if this batch lives up. Will probably crack a can later today.

I haven't heard anything about it yet. The King's Ransom is tasting awesome. Super smooth for a 10.2% baltic porter.

I'm loving Table Beer. Lots of tropical fruits coming out in the aroma and a creamy body.

I get kind of the taste of cigarettes on the finish though.

Masha at Beer Boutique is now telling me they won't be getting their Debbie Downer keg until next month. So I guess they are rebrewing it?

Maybe they should just give up if that's the case? Stick to brewing regular, solid IPAs instead of a ton of crazy adjuncts?

Drinking my last Lime Green Galaxies now, I'm reminded of how successful some of that recent adjunct use has been (or let's talk about All Orange Everything!) On to City Slickers after this!

Yea I missed two of those. Wasn't a fan of AOE though - I had it the other night and it was just way too boozy for me. Thought it would have settled down and but it was just super prominent and distracting, which I hadn't found in the recent batches of AGE.

After picking up my cans I went to Bergn for a friend's birthday and the derby, 5 OH beers on tap including City Slickers and AGE.

City Slickers is fantastic, AGE is still a little hot.

Just opened another city slickers. It's so good. Really disappointed I missed the actual release but got some cans. @Kanger any chance of another keg of this popping up at the brewery?

Ok, there seems to be some miscommunication about this bottle from Saturday. I'm here to set the record straight: The Beer Table Table Beer released this past Saturday IS NOT the same as the Table Beer brewed at Westbrook. It may be the same recipe, but it is not the same beer.

Allow me to explain: I frequently try cleaning up Other Half's Untappd beer list, because drunken idiots put beers up that are duplicates or flat out don't exist. I had seen the Westbrook Table Beer posted up, but none of the Other Half crew had mentioned it getting released. When it was first announced, Matt had told me it was a session version of All Green Everything: same hop bill, just cranked down to <5%.

Nothing was ever spoken of it again. A few weeks ago, I decided to talk with one of the workers. He knows me well enough to explain what actually happened. The goal was the beer was to be bottled at Westbrook and have limited distribution through 12% (a la Rockstar Farmer). After the beer was done, Westbrook sent some bottles to Brooklyn to get feedback. Somewhere along the line, this awesome beer got warped, creating a bottle of liquid Band-Aids. The crew was furious, and demanded Westbrook dump the beer because it didn't represent the type of brewery Other Half is and it just flat out didn't taste good.

I haven't cracked open this Beer Table Table Beer yet, but I hope I cleared that up.

Also on to my last City Slickers and I'm so sad to see it go :slight_frown:

Thinking I will save it for my kickball game on Sunday. Sounds like the right time for that beer.

You're not alone. I had one from a trade last night, and though I didn't find it boozy at all, the orange was only very slight, and there really wasnt much aroma coming from it either. The All Citra i had right after it made everything better, its still going strong
