    Good stuff?
Chilling after the tank museum with the delicious Northern Monk New World IPA. Makes me never want to drink an imported US beer again.

    The NMBI was very tasty
A dry brown ale that with plenty of cocoa nib gives it a cigar like richness definitely worth trying

    Saltaire Cascade Pale ale
Not sure if it's just amazing with a Waitrose pizza with spicy pepperoni
But I reckon it's a Fantastic beer can't believe it came I got it off a supermarket shelf

    Hexagon horizon
    Like a dark Keller bier
At first it doesn't seem like much but it grows on you

Duchy Waitrose organic IPA was what I would expect from a ordinary bottle of bitter
& I would expect an organic ale to be bottle conditioned as well
    Weird Beard Duke of Dank
Not the usual strawberry liquorice that I normally associate with reds and this is more Pimms Cocktail

Was down the brewery yesterday, so as always a brewday means brewday beers.
The Bruery's Tart of Darkness and Hoppin' Frog's D.O.R.I.S. were the standouts.

Okay but surely part of a session IPA isn't just a lower abv
but that you want another which tbh I'm not mithered about

    Harviestoun ipa
    Tastes like an IPA shandy
    Fizzy
Did they put the wrong beer in the bottle and I got their pilsner or has it been nerfed for the supermarket

BrewDog Clerkenwell had all 18 lines devoted to their own stuff yesterday. I had:
Hinterland Barrel Aged- very boozy for a 9%
    Raspberry Apricot Blitz- quite sour
AB 19- really delicious BA saison
AB 20- quite sweet and got hints of tiramisu through the nose
Tokyo*- very complex, loads of dark fruit, hard to believe its 16% when the hinterland was much more boozy

Also had a beer that I saw in Sainsbury called Fursty Ferret by Badger, which I bought purely on name. Bad idea.

Pint of pale mild in the pub before visiting the beer shop on the way home. Some Pardubicky Taxis Special 14 lager with dinner, very good stuff. Better than the black IPL from Time and Tide, which was still pretty good to be fair.

I stopped by the brewery (sort of a farmhouse shack in back of his house) month or two ago and he was extremely inviting. I agree the King Alfred's Cake was very good. Very different if you are thinking classic porter, but good. I grabbed a mixed dozen beers to take home. All the dark ones are very good and all the non-dark beers were average.

Just to finished mowing the lawn under bright blue sky. Now sitting here tossing a stick to my dog and drinking a fresh Orval. That's happiness brother.

    Brokreacja The Lumberjack
    Pinta Atak Chmielu

Another 2 great Polish beers, particularly The Lumberjack, a lovely well balanced American rye stout.

Fantastic afternoon in Islington in the Earl of Essex beer garden enjoying the sunny weekend.

Stuck with a couple of quaffable low ABV beers. Had the Omnipollo Pineapple Gose, Summer Wine Juice Facilitator, and finished off with a Camden Hells because I was in the mood for something yellow and fizzy. The gose in particularly was lovely, could've easily sat out all day drinking that.

Just recovering from a trip to Brussels last week, which included Cantillon Quintessence.

I know it's not UK, so sorry (not sorry). But wow. What an experience. What beers. I think the UK contingent should all plan to go to the next Quintessence in 2018!

All the Cantillon's aside, also enjoyed trips to bars around the city, and a couple of stand out beers were 3 Fonteinen Hommage and Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien, which was just insanely good.

A few pics below to annoy you.

I know a few like this. Me included after my first foray! ...maybe avoid Cantillon. We did see a couple of UK brews on in the first (and probably best) bar we went to (Moeder Lambic), though. A hugely patriotic moment! Kernel and Thornbridge making the grade!
