Cans of Helles are still available. Brought a couple home with me tonight. As another poster mentioned, Pineal is truly sublime on tap.

Pineal reminds me very much of Treehouse Green. I've never had them at the same time to compare, but I think they are very similar.

Wasn't able to make it down for Tony but that beer sounds fantastic. Guess Ill have to wait for bottles of it.

Closest thing I've found to Tree House Green is Neshaminy Creek County Line. And I had them back to back. County Line was like Green Lite (which is a good thing).

Personally I found Pineal a lot juicier than Green. Green was more grassy and dank to me, which drew the County Line comparison.

On one hand I'm disappointed that I'll actually be in the area tomorrow night and Alien Church isn't one of their better IPAs IMO, but on the other hand it might work out given it's a repeat and only one I might be able to slip in around 6pm and get some.

Yea. I have no frame of reference for how busy can releases are because I have only been to the the last two weeks and both were no lines for me when I arrived around 6:30

I'll take the opportunity to skip a week and set aside more money/fridge space for another release. I like almost all their other IPA's more than AC and it can be hard to get.

the last two weeks were very abnormal compared to previous months but we'll see how much of the slowdown is from lager-hate and how much is actually Tired Hands-fatigue. It'd be great if things stayed like this.

I was at the last Alien Church\Punge release. Arrived at 4 and had about 150 people in front of me. 2 weeks ago I went to the Pineal release, got there at 5 to almost no line at all (although it was 3 days after their anniversary). It's a total crapshoot. I am curious to see whether or not the summer break for the local colleges has any effect on the lines.

Underwhelming beer, underwhelming interest would be my guess.

Surprised to see these AC opinions, but I suppose I'm less of a fruit juice guy than most. Everyone else can have Punge, I'll take the AC.

I'm not a fruit juice guy either but Alien Church didn't impress me. It was decent, I just didn't think it was on the level of Weedeater (my all time favorite TH), Imagination of Ourselves, High Road to name a few.

So am I, I think AC is one of the best hoppy beers they make. I also get huge mango from it, so I'm kind of confused by your "fruit juice" comment too!

Personally I think they're both pretty run-of-the-mill and don't stand out. Tough call between the two. Hophands is probably the better made beer given the ABV. I'm gonna try to pick up a 4 pack of AC tomorrow if they have any left later in the evening and I'm hoping my opinion changes as I haven't had it in a while.

of the last 4 cans I purchased from TH releases, (recognizing they are varying degrees of ABV), I'd have to rank 1. Pineal, 2. AC, 3 Hop Hands, 4. Punge. The gap between Pineal and AC for me is a thin one. I'm obviously a TH fan and generally like the feel to their beers. Punge is the only one I'd pass on if I my schedule was light on a release day. I don't mind the juice bombs but I need a hop bite to my IPAs. Punge lacked the bite.

I'm a big fan of AC. I thought high road and punge were both mediocre. I still have a 4pk of each I pass over everytime I grab a beer.

Is the "emptiness..." Instagram post perhaps a tease for a new emptiness bottle on the way? I don't know the full history of the emptiness series, but I thought I heard that they were finished...any truth to that?

Will be just south of Philadelphia for work next week. Will be coming from Glasboro and hoping to be able to get to the brewery by 6:30 or so next Wednesday. Looking forward to finally trying the beer and hoping for a chance to bring some cans home to share. As far as getting to the fermentaria, at that time on a Wednesday would I be better off taking the route that is further west of the city rather than downtown? Google maps is giving me two routes. Cheers.
