You could always buy the 2nd ticket, bring someone who doesn't care about the variant, and give them the 4 pack of regular DL (and the potential vouchers) as a "thank you" for standing in line for your second variant. That's totally legit, and will potentially get both your money on the 2nd ticket back, but will also net you a variant of your own that you can drink with your mouth.

Yes, people are generally better than that. But, you can't just let this fool get away.

Give us his Snapchat, name, etc. and let the internet do the job for you. If he's on BA, they can ban his account at the very least. This can/will happen to other people because you won't come out about it. Help us protect other people from theft, please.

 

Definitely don't let him get away with this. At least you know who did this compared to others who just looked down and saw their stash gone. Or were too drunk to know anything happened.

 

If he doesn't return it, play dumb next year and tell him you got another ticket if he wants it. Give him a ride to the fest, take his money, and then ditch him so he can't get into the fest.

Everyone in this thread should bring a re-capped whale filled with water next year. We'll leave these unattended in places and laugh our selves silly watching the thieves trying to carry out a hoard of bottles they have stashed.

 

It would be tempting to save my DL bottles and refill them with something nasty, then "accidentally" leave them somewhere next year. The problem is that they'd probably just get sold by the DB thieves and it would be someone else who gets screwed.

 

I prefer the bank dye pack scheme where a dye pack is placed inside an empty bottle which explodes after a safe distance away from the fest.

 

Offer to "buy" it from him, in person pick-up, then let the authorities know or take it back from him yourself

They don't allow any pictures of anything that isn't beer anymore. I tried to post a picture of 'The Million Dollar Man' Ted Dibiase holding a wad of hundred dollar bills on this thread with the caption "That guy waiting by the bottle line exit, ready to buy your VBDL." Guess we can't have fun anymore...

 

These images do not advocate for beer. That's rule number 1. Images must advocate.

I can confirm the axe opener is a thing of beauty. If you give your cap a quick tug and pop, it doesn't leave a single flaw in the cap. You can snap the cap back on tightly too.



It's great. Also that was the best bottled batch of ZD I've had in a long time. The bottles are always inconsistent.

 

In another thread people were talking about adjuncts, and chocolate, peanut butter, etc added into beers. And i had posted the clip from family guy where the 2 guys get in a car accident and get each others peanut butter and choc bar mixed together. I thought it was pretty relevant, but it got removed.

Yeah, this is the thing that bugs me. Throwing in some visual humor once in a while is fun; no reason to remove that sort of stuff.

 

It's really tough for me because I only post on westendzone.com other than this forum but that one is unmoderated and loads of fun.
