Side Project (2018)

Always determined by the number in line just before sales start.

 

Post for the database guy:
- 5pp BdP
- 1pp Fuzzy
- multiple times through the line, BdP seemed to have plenty stock, Fuzzy not sure (but still a lot)

 

There was still plenty of both left when they closed the doors. Not very many people got back in line from what I could tell.

 

Speaking of FdF, does anyone know if/when a second blend/batch is going to be released? I've searched around BA and the Side Project website, but haven't found much information on this - apologies if I missed it. I see on BA's page for FdF it is listed as 'Rotating' so presumably that means a second batch is in the works? Based on Fuzzy's second batch coming about two years after the first, perhaps that means FdF is coming around this time next year. If anyone has any insight I'd appreciate it.

 

I haven't heard anything about the second batch of FDF...I don't think Corey brews on any kind of schedule so it could be this year, next year or 2019. From some of his posts on twitter I think Kriek du fermier might be next, but who knows!

 

Well, now that cory has done a weekend release he can go ahead and go a wednesday release since it's finals week and all I have to do is grade. Come on Mr. King!

 

Coming into town for a day and wanted to hit up SP and grab a few bottles. How difficult is it to get bottles at the brewery or bottle shops?

 

You cannot get any Side Project bottles at any bottles shops. You might be in luck and be able to go to the Side Project Cellar this week and grab Biere Du Pays to go at 2pp or something like that. I cannot totally say for sure though. Good Luck.

Think DB Derivation will be released this weekend or for ACBW?

 

It wont be on a weekend thats for sure.

 

What day of the week do they usually release on?

 

They are usually Wednesday or Saturday. I think what @imyourhero21 was alluding to is that it will most likely be a last minute suprise announcement or a extra for the first "insert count here" people in line based on their history.

Or we could all be wrong and CK could be doing soemthing different.

 

I don't know if they'll do the limited surprise extras anymore. It encourages people showing up at 7 or 8 AM and line jumpers.

 

Cory has done it many different ways, so who knows what it will be. Maybe he will release it alongside BA 17 tomorrow. Now go rush to your cars and get in line, cause you heard it here first!

Fuzzy was a limited surprise extra just this past weekend.

 

I mean more like FdF was, where there were maybe only a couple hundred bottles. Fuzzy wasn't announced, but you could go back through and get multiples if you wanted.

 

It will probably be like BA Abraxas, middle of the week, no announcement really so that locals can get them and not have a long line and shit show. Probably the best way for them to do it.
