I wonder why they chose to use labels like that. Has there ever been any other variants in the past with paper labels? Seems they always silk-screened (or whatever the term is) the variants. This year's non-paper labels were definitely pretty badass, with a wide variety.

Unless you count the few 1 liter swing-top bottles of BA Dark Lord raffled off in 2006, all the variants from 2011-2015 were screen printed 750ml bottles. This was the first year where some variants got unique paper labels.

Can't remember details but Bloobs is a more tart and fruity Chevelier Bertrand

The commissioned an artist to do the paper labels. There was an article someone linked about it.

Here's all I got. Don't remember notes but it's like Chevelier Bertrand but better

What? 25 oz of any beer is gross? Can't disagree more.

Yeah, I've gotta say (as I said earlier in the thread, actually), as someone who is typically responsible for the entirety of whatever beer he buys, 750mL is fine. Hell, I had to polish off a 32 oz growler of one of Haymarket's BA stouts, and that was delightful the whole time.

I am at brewpub right now (ZD cases available btw), and yes they still have the light blue logo pint glasses. They also have both one sided and two sided axe bottle openers available.

Hmm I really enjoy those games, maybe this beer is for me! I also enjoyed Biggleswade...

Dark Souls games are the best. I'm currently playing through 3, although they don't go very well with drinking heavy beers.

I think it depends on the beer. Putting down a bomber of Pear Bear was a tough one. Dark Lord isn't very easy either as you can feel the diabeetus creeping up on you the closer you get to the end of the bottle.

Haven't tried the DL to myself yet but wholeheartedly agree on Pear Bear.

No doubt! It's like drinking liquefied Sour Patch Kids.

Pear Bear was a thing of beauty.. I can't get enough sour though and seem to finish them quite fast

Skull Ole on the other hand

Don't get me wrong, I like me some Pear Bear. But getting back to the original point, it's difficult drinking a bottle by oneself.

Conquistador de la Muerte was the toughest bottle I consumed alone start to finish. On thanksgiving while stuffed with food. Took me almost 3 hours

Yeah, that's actually what I was referencing (my prior comment in the DLD thread). Dark Lord '16 is the only bottle I can remember having a real issue finishing in one night (I don't count Stone's Crime, which I stopped drinking because I could feel my stomach lining burning off).

So the Hampton Inn website says "no rooms available" for next year's (presumably) Dark Lord weekend.
