    11.2oz (Pernicious)
    12oz (Hop Burglar)
    12.7oz (Dark Age)
16.9oz (Freak, El Paraiso, sours, etc)
    16oz cans (Smores, etc)

Am I missing any? Is there another brewery that uses so many different sizes? I find it kind of fascinating.

Yeah that is super weird. I'm guessing they are doing this to maximize profit. Don't see any other reason to sell an IPA in an 11.2oz format, unless NC has some weird ABV laws I am not aware of.

Quirky for the sake of being quirky without any logical reasoning is sort of the Asheville thing.

I'm guessing the cans are for beers that they need to get out quickly, there were so many kegs of the S'mores stout and of all a sudden cans! and people waited hours in lines? Well played Wicked Weed.

I am not even sure what the bottle sizes are on the 6-packs (Lunatic Blonde, Napoleon Complex, etc)

Pretty sure they get these used on Craigslist, so they take what they can get.

    500mL = 16.9 oz

Yeah, I was trying to point out there were (2) different 500ml bottles; one for sours and one for non-sours.

I believe that recently all the 11.2 oz clean beers are now 12oz bottles. I got some new bottles of Pernicious & Hop Burglar last week that were 12oz. They have leave design on the glass that looks like it is supposed to be a hop cone.

Thanks for bringing that up. Totally forgot about it now that you mentioned it. Neat how they can design the glass like that.

They've done at least one 750 ml bottle, that "Batch1" or whatever that they released at the Funkatorium's 1st anniversary party last year.

Doesn't that look short next to the 500 ml?

I really wish they would do their core lineup/canvas in 750s (at the current price point for 500s), and do the Angels/Dark Arts/etc in their 500s. I know we've discussed their pricing at length here, but the JK/Fonta Flora model seems very appropriate to me.

I am sure Wicked Weed has done some serious research on maximizing their profits and that is the reasoning behind the insane amount of bottle sizes.

No doubt, the difference between 12 oz and 11.2 is huge. With their expected push heavily into the Philly market it adds up quickly. They're expanding quickly too.

They found a local bottle maker that is making them the 12oz bottles custom for them(they patented the shape). They had to use up all of the 11.2oz bottles they had before switching them all to 12oz. I think I read somewhere that they are going to put the Freak in 12oz soon too- probably once they use up all of the 500ml bottles from the warehouse.
