Sunday Brunch was on tap at Biergarten on Thursday for Founder's and Friend's... it's probably why rumors were going crazy and people showed up for it on Saturday.

 

Yea. People also don't assume that it could have been last years batch. Then again, who knows.

What makes you say that?

What's the point in keeping a coffee beer around for a year? Seems like they might advertise it as 2015 vintage anyway.

 

BA Sunday Brunch

 

Sunday Brunch was 9/19 last year. I don't think that is a new batch IMO

 

I'm in the camp of AGE > Hop Lab Triple. For me, they weren't close. Hope to be able to get a taste of the new batch from Kane and would love to try some of the double dry hopped variants.

For those that say AGE is too boozy, if it is a can, let it sit for 3 weeks. Really mellows out and is silky smooth and perfect.

 

But it wasn't BA.

That, I was not aware of.

 

Sorry, someone stated why they would keep Sunday brunch around for a year, so I was just hypothesizing maybe because they kept it around in barrels for aging to release a BA version this month

 

Just speculating on the fact that Sunday brunch was released last September and I'm also assuming they follow their release pattern from last year which was Mexican brunch around this time. Again, pure assumption on my part

I dont think you're far off with this at all. I actually know quite a few people going to the brewery early this Saturday. Not sure if its a coincidence or not.

 

They're probably assuming the same I am if Kane follows their pattern from last year, something will be released one of these Saturdays whether it be Sea Change or Mexican Brunch.

 

Doesn't really make sense to do fills as opposed to just bottling it.

 

I'm really looking forward to this year's batch of Sea Change. It is a very underrated beer. I had a bottle from the original batch at about the 2 year mark and it was absolutely incredible.

 

But are they prepared for the Friday night release?

 

I've yet to try it but hear great things. Would really like to get some this year

 

They are doing these silent releases for a reason. they don't want and can't accommodate long lines at the brewery.
My guess is if people are on line at opening. there isn't going to be a release until the line disperses. Kane is not going to encourage a silent line.

 

Just give me head high cans on the reg and I'll be happy.
