So other than Palm Reader, are there other beers from Michigan using MI-farmed hops?

There are many from smaller breweries. I had 2 today from Workshop in Traverse a City.

I brewed a few beers with Michigan hops. Does that count?

Most of the hop lots are all spoken for by Michigan breweries, so they use a lot of local hops, but dont advertise as much about it.

I'm kinda surprised that more breweries don't just buy some land and grow their own and advertise their beers as such

The expense and labor are a high entry point for new breweries.

There is a fairly large hop field that I saw on my last visit to Bell's production facility, it is just to the east.

I wasn't referring to new breweries. I should have specified more established breweries with money falling out of their pockets

Pipeworks just released a beer brewed using only hops from Hop Head Farms (Hickory Corners MI). Have one in the fridge now, heard its great. Called Funzino IIPA.

I think I've read that Bell's Midwestern Pale Ale is brewed from all Michigan hops and malt.

I think there are a ton of beers that will fit this 'all Michigan hops' feature, but many are not in distribution, thus you never hear about them unless you visit a lot of breweries/brewpubs.

I personally think this beer is highly underrated

Thanks everybody for the responses. I'm doing a story for the MI Beer Guide on the state of the MI hop farming industry. Thought this would be a great place to crowdsource info....I hope that's not against commenting guidelines.

Breweries need to establish those contracts with hop growers years in advance. So newer breweries mostly go with bigger suppliers, most likely not in MI, due to cost.

Do you think Eternity did it years in advance? Canton Brew Works? Block? Rivers Edge? Farmington? Witch's Hat? Batch? Tecumseh? All of those have had it at one time or another...Im not just making things up..
