I'm in agreement with you. I don't really care if people post updates ITT, but if you've been following these threads long enough you know which days the stores will get their shipments. It only enables the hoarders to hop from store to store.

 

They're gonna hop regardless and with that logic they know too.

gotta disagree here, whole foods isnt always on "schedule" and its not like a bottle shop in terms of staff knowing whats what.

 

This was my exact point. We all know it's coming, we all know where to look and we should know when.

I'm too old to play this chase game. I have 4 go-to stores. I'm giving up, if they have these beers when I go there then, fantastic. If not, oh well, I'll buy something else.

 

I've had enough walking around from store to store in wingtips in shit weather to wind up empty handed to last me a longtime. I appreciate those of you who post when stuff is coming in.

 

I know WF is a supermarket but if you go there enough, they should know to tell you, not the other way around.

Shit. It's gotten to the point I can tell they have something quote-unquote "special" just from the vibe surrounding the beer section of the store that particular day.

 

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt it now just the fridge area next to the cheese counter, and they keep everything in the back...

 

Gotta hit up bread & honey...everyone knows the most elite beer is in a cardboard box on the floor!

 

Yeah. They put the fucking eggs where the beer used to be and the front area where all the beer is now used to just be singles and bombers. They always held stuff like this in the back.
It really sucks and there's always a line that intrudes onto that section of the store. I know that it was very frustrating for the staff, who are all excellent and cool people.

 

It's not my main store so I dont know the staff there, but I do frequent it when I'm in the neighborhood. The past grimm releases Ive gone in the early afternoon around 11. The only "vibe" i can tell is a bunch of guys standing around the cheese counter. Nobody's buying fancy cheese at 11am.

 

Just snagged 3 4-packs at Nereid, the 3rd largest moon of Neptune. $16.99 per. Take the A/C to JFK then hop a flight to Orlando. Jump on the 528 East to Cape Canaveral then take the first shuttle out to Neptune and transfer there. One-way is about 11.4 years depending on congestion along the asteroid belt. There were only 7 or 8 4-packs left when I got there so up to you if you decide to make the trip. Long trip back if you come home empty handed.

i got a bottle yesterday. it was a really good sour. i just wish it was a bomber instead of a 1pt .9oz maine brewing size bottle.

 

Got breakfast at WF Tribeca and they told me tomorrow at noon.

 

I wonder if it's landing everywhere today and they're just doing a Friday release again

 

In terms of WF who knows, I figure if anyone else got em hopefully theyd post here.

Yeah the WF's seem to always be a day later than small shops scattered around Manhattan who usually post the day before.

 

I kinda prefer the set release opposed to the panic stricken madness of instagram and twitter refreshing

 

Just turn on twitter notifications for the shops you expect to get it. No need to panic. It kind of is a joint set release in my hood (east vill). Good Beer, ABC beer co, and malt and mold gramercy all seem to get at same time, prob off the same truck, always mid afternoon. If I am back by 4 (dip out a little early on these Thursdays), it is easy pickings.

 

Save some for the rest of us.
