No experience unsurprisingly but I'll have a guess...

The sugar will ferment out, and depending on how much you use, may dry the beer our slightly. It looks like just over 60% sugar (by weight), so I'd imagine that to get enough taro flavour, you'd be adding a lot of sugar.

That particular product uses creamer instead of milk powder, so I have no idea how that would react under ferment.

If it was milk powder, then from personal experience () I know that it would contribute some lactose (how much, I dont know, probably not enough to really make a difference) as well as some "curds" at the bottom of your fermentor (perfectly harmless, but won't taste too great!).

Those creamers usually contain hydrogenated vegetable oils like soybean so i would put a teaspoon in some beer and see if it even mixes.

I bet you're right. I think I'm just going to get just taro powder that doesn't have any additives or sweetener and make a milk stout out of it maybe add a vanilla bean to the secondary as well.

Defintiely better to just get plain taro powder than to use this stuff.

That being said, definitely investigate if you can find taro essense - although I'd imagine that may be difficult?

You could always look at brewing with some real Taro
