In a bit of a spot, trustee isn't able to make it back to Bruery anytime soon and there was a mixup on him picking up 3 bottles of 2015 BT for a buddy of mine. Anyone nearby that could pick up and ship? I'll provide a label and cover cost of a 3 bottle shipper. Can also try and Mail a thank you of some local DC stuff. Would really appreciate it.

Yep you're right. I didn't care too much for either but preferred the bourbon, so that one stuck in my head more.

What (in your opinion) have been the best Society Growler fills this year so far? Any current recommendations?

New guy to this thread everyone. I joined the PS for 2015 and then am now an RS (no brainer) for 2016. Love it so far, although I have gotten online at 12:10 CST the past few Mondays and missed out on GM, MW '14, all the BTs, which is disappointing. Finally headed to Bruery later this summer for the first time. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Also, I am likely going to do the anniversary party next year assuming it times up OK. That said, I have been to Dark Lord Day a few times and was wondering how Bruery's event compares? Sounds like both have an amazing beer list including guest beers. I've seen pics and since it's LA I am sure the weather is always outstanding where DLD is awful. And I'm sure no metal bands. Anything else? Sorry for a bit of noobery. Love this Society though and the beers obviously!

Is Tart of Darkness w/ Cherries and vanilla being released to the public? I don't want to waste any shipper spots and I believe it will be but I can't remember.

Ya. Email says Society Exclusive, but on the beer page in the store says Society Member advance release so not too sure

I think it did? They gave me my extra one when I stopped in on Sunday night.

Yes, I got mine when I went to pick up my allocations while I was in town for the anniversary party. It was actually a surprise because I had paid to have it shipped and hadn't accounted for the room the bag would take in my luggage. They gave me a credit for the shipping so the money came out even but I did have to drink/ditch a couple of bottles to make everything fit.

It's never been released to distro before, so I wouldn't count on it.

Tried TofD w/ cherries and vanilla in the tasting room this weekend (so glad they opened the society tap list to PS members), and it was a really awesome beer. Would love to get my hands on a bottle but I'm not holding out hope.

Ugh... I just e-mailed them yesterday and they said they weren't in yet... They said as soon as they do arrive they'll be shipped (if you paid for shipping). Kind of annoying to hear they are already handing out the extras at the fulfilment center and not shipping yet...

@BruerJoel what's the deal? Are they in or not?

Tasting room update. ...bottles of stoutfire and M10 still available. Parting Clouds on tap, maybe leftover from Saturday? And Hoarders get some Heaven Hill BT.

Welcome new guy. Suggestion for visit: Enjoy. Pace yourself. Have a safe ride. Oh, and if you're there on a weekend, arrive early if you want to land table/counter space. Or be prepared to lurk and wait.

I bought a Colonel Kernal in February that I thought was really fantastic. I bought a couple more that I had shipped last week and cracked one tonight. Kinda disappointing if I'm honest. Lots of bourbon, but the malt wasn't nearly as rich, balanced and complex as I recalled, and the alcohol was sharper. This new one was also a lot fizzier than I recalled. Did they do more than one batch? This new one is B#1476 12/22/15 11:17 003154 (no idea what my original one was, but another shipped at the same time ends 003152, so fingers crossed it's different).
