Hope we see more of their beers down here...not just the hoppy stuff. I'd love 4/6 packs of pitch black.

    bobv,

Between this and the Alchemist thread, I have a couple questions.

    Why do you do this?

Do you have some industry status?

Is that you in your photo?

    Answer: Yes.

The new Alchemist is literally in our store's backyard.
I'm friends with the owners of The Alchemist as well as the owners of Lost Nation Brewing.

Who cares? Probably does it the for the same reason you post here, he likes craft beer and wants to discuss it with like minded individuals.

I did a quick google and couldn't find anything, could someone elaborate on what is being expanded at Lost Nation? More tanks? More packaging? Bigger space?
Stopped in for the first time about a month ago, really enjoyed the visit. I think their beer is very good, and if their single hop IPAs can become more readily accessible in Mass that would be fantastic.

I believe they're going to be coming to Connecticut in the next month or two.

We've had the Gose for several months now in MA. Mosaic hit select stores last week. I missed out. Eager to try. Is it a solid beer?

Yes, they will be in Connecticut.
I talked with one of the owners yesterday while he was dealing with all the red tape that CT is throwing at him.
He certainly seemed a bit frustrated.

OK, as of now they have 140 bbl total fermentation capacity. They are adding 200 bbl more fermentation capacity. As of now they use a mobile canning unit from Iron Heart that shows up 4-6 days a month. When their own canning line is in place along with their additional brewing capacity they should be able to can 3 days a week. As of this coming weekend the metal fabricating company who rent the front half of the building will be moving out and Lost Nation will have the whole property with plans for a brewpub in the additional space along with their cellar tanks and a barrel program. More bright tanks and a whirlpool were delivered with the fermentation tanks yesterday. This project (and thread) will be ongoing for at least a year.:grimacing: @BAMF

I assumed such. I was curious to know more about the guy. He looks like a wise beer wizard, and I wanted to believe that. I did not mean any negativity.

I hope that includes the Vermont Pilsner; from my last Vermont trip I coveted those more than anything else I picked up.

You mean in a Harry Potter or Sorcerer and the Stone sort of way? I thought so. Notice you don't see the top of his head because he is hiding his tall wizard hat. Where else in this country do they call the upper part of the state the "Northern Kingdom"? Coincidence? I think not.

Hah! Typical Connecticut. We're such a bureaucratic mess. Hope the owners see the value in coming here, though, there's definitely a big market for their beers here.
