BCBS Sightings - Chicago

It was for a friend whose favorite variant is BW. I wanted it as an Xmas gift with a 13-15 vertical.

 

Too bad we missed each other - would've been great to meet up with someone there. I sat at the bar, had my one Regal Rye with a pulled pork and got out of there.

Interesting thoughts on the West-ified...was that your first time having it? I had a couple bottles when it was sold last year and enjoyed it. I may try to get a pour of it next week at Binny's when they have it.

 

I'm thinking of heading over to Monk's now. I'm about 3 blocks away. I can check out for about an hour, screw 'em.

I can see that on the High West-ified. It doesn't stand up to some of the better ones such as KBS or (non-infected) BCBCS.

I've got my eye on Monk's for next Friday's Saugatuck tapping to try the BA Neapolitan on tap. Not sure about it, though, as I usually work from home on Friday (especially the Friday before a holiday weekend).

If anyone is headed to Fatpour tonight instead of BUG, I'll be there as well.

 

I saw single bottles of BA Neapolitan today at Binnys on Grand if your interested.

 

Yeah, I've had it before from bottle, but thought it'd be worth checking out on tap as well. I had 2 bottles of it in my shopping bag last Friday at LP Binny's, but ended up putting it back. I realized I had to stick to my guns of not buying anymore beer at the time...for some reason having one on tap doesn't count against that rule!

I think I'm going to have to make a stop at Monk's before heading to O'hare. Regal Rye will help my sanity before I deal with the security lines

 

Just arrived (~3:30pm) and was told it tapped about 10 minutes ago.

 

So we've got "Plenty of it" and "tapped out about 10 minutes ago" all in the span of 20 minutes, eh?

 

Boo to that. Did they say what they are replacing it with?

Wish I was in a position to be lying about it so I could hoard all the Regal. Ah well, time to head back to the office, drunk, to continue handling people's personal financial matters.

What the hell?!?! I ordered at 2:30. The bald bartender said they had "plenty of it" and asked if I wanted a second pour before i left. Crazy.

Now I go to the box and feel shame.
