It looks like it was just the Boysenberry one so maybe they'll have one of the other ones?? who knows. We should find out soon.

Very true. That boysenberry one from the bottle was damn delicious too. Very pretty color.

Did you try it/any more info?

Also for a guy who hasn't tried System of a Stout, would you guys wait in line at Monkish for IPAs or hit up Beachwood for the SoaS? Assuming scoring some of each at both places is unlikely.

They didn't keg Fruit Cart, I'm thinking the trend is to not keg the fruited stuff.

Monkish releases an Ipa every couple weeks, Beachwood releases SaaS once a year. Easy decision, go to monkish next time

both places will be a zoo. but the right answer is BW. you could always hit Monkish on the next can release. but standing in line is getting really freaking old these days.

I've read a couple pages and don't have a great feel for how Monkish does their releases other than it appears they're usually on a Saturday.

I'll be coming in for work on Tuesday afternoon (LAX) and driving to Anaheim and passing by Torrance. I thought I'd stop in Monkish and maybe Smog City for a couple beers and get whatever I could packaged as well. Any ideas what may be available as far as packaged beers? If anything?

Monkish opens at 3 & Smog at 4. But they will let you in to buy bottles b4 they open. In Anaheim go to Noble, the Bruery and Bottle Logic. Between Smog/Monkish & Anaheim you must stop in Beachwood Long Beach or Seal Beach. Keep in mind you will be dealing with the 405 traffic. And it can get very heavy between 3-7pm. On a good day it takes me over an hour to drive from LAX to Huntington Beach. Bad day > 1 1/2 hours plus.
One more note. You also got El Segundo Brewing Co nearby LAX. Opens 4 or 5.

Appreciate that. We'll get into town around 2:30 so we'll probably get to SC then drop by Monkish on our way to the hotel. Thursday night we plan to do Nobel and Bruery and possibly Bottle Logic. We'll definitely try and do Beachwood on Thursday.

    Thanks again

    FYI:
For tomorrow, we saved a few cases of each fruit variant for in-house consumption only. Also we will have on tap a new beer, Stone Kisses -- a tart saison with peaches and apricots (it's a large draft batch so we will have it on for some time).

We will have more bottle releases soonish

    • Vellichor with Fruit (boysenberry, raspberry, apricot)
    • Fruit Cart (batch 2)
    • A barrel-aged saison with cherries
    • A barrel-aged saison with peaches

To say I'm excited for those saisons is an understatement. Really wish they would bottle Never Ever Never.
