Oh shit you found me! I think it make that person interested in trying a new local beer. I don't think it qualifies as chasing beer if you've waited until after work to stop by a shop (hours after it's been posted) I Alison picked up a couple other bottles if it make you feel better.

I snagged a pair of Force Field's at City Swiggers but they only got two cases. Noble Grains is getting theirs tomorrow and putting it out after 5pm.

What's the word on taste at this point?

Beer Table is the worst beer stop in the city. I pop in every now and then just to bust the manager's balls about how over priced their beers are.

The nose is pretty awesome with lots of fruit, but the taste is a little muddled. The body is plenty soft like other grimm beers. I don't think I'll open another for a week or two. Lately grimm beers have needed a bit of time to really meld and this probably isn't any different.

I'm still amazed that grimms sours seem to stick around longer than their ipas. Just cracked a future perfect and man is it good. Light, tart and full of berry flavor. Beautiful color too!

    Future Perfect>Forcefield.

Apples and oranges, you say? No shit...but I'm a person who generally prefers IPAs over anything sour, and I much preferred Future Perfect over Forcefield. I certainly wasn't let down by Forcefield, but it's definitely my least favorite of the canned offerings thus far.

I think Lightning Fields is among the best sours I've had by Grimm and I was surprised by how little it seemed made it into the city. Most of their dry hopped stuff tends to have weird vegetal notes, particularly as they warm but I don't find that in Lightning Fields

I thought Lightning Fields was a very delicious sour but honestly it reminded me a lot of hot sauce. I thought that Lucky Cloud was superb and definitely my favorite by them so far, I wish it had made it into bottles.

Way more excited to try Future Perfect than Forcefield, so hoping I can snag a bottle or 2 today.

Same here. Been trying to get my fiancee into beers and the way to her heart is through fruity sours... and I'm not complaining.

WF CC usually keeps them in the bar area which doesn't open till noon. That's how they've done the last few releases.

I drank a can of Forcefield last night, it was a really tasty beer but had zero bitterness and I say but because I like at least some bitterness from my IPAs. Lots of melon and tropical fruits and a complex and flavorful beer but without that bite there is something missing for me. I'm willing to bet if 75% of the people running around to find this beer were poured a blind sample they would be able to identify it as an IPA and after being told it was an IPA would say they didn't like it because the hops weren't present enough.

I find that with all Grimm IPA's except for Pulse Wave. The hype these cans get boggles my mind.

the bar area as in, I need to ask the bartender? is this why I've never actually nabbed a grimm at WF CC?
