say you are going to a brewery that it seems like everyone on the planet wants beer from (tired hands) but... the only thing you are going to be able to get is stuff on tap, which means 32oz and 64oz growlers if you were on the receiving end of the trade / LIF / BIF / surprise box, would getting a couple 32oz of different flavors be preferable to 1 64oz? what is the life expectancy of beer in a glass growler? a week? trying to figure out shipping times
More than 1 style is always a plus, I've done growlers 2 weeks after fill and they've held up fine, most places purge before fill
It's time for the next round of #GIF (Growler It Forward)! If you'd like to participate: BM your info (name, address, email, any shipping restrictions, etc.) with the subject 'GIF' if you'd like to be involved. I'll keep sign-ups open until Monday May 23 at 11:59PM. -Fill up the growler with a quality beer from a local brewery -Ninja off to a random member in the GIF -Once they get it, they drink the growler and post a #VBS. Once the growler is empty, recipient signs the growler with the sharpie / pen included. Additionally, there will be a wrapped "challenge" bottle in the box. There will be a written challenge that must be completed and proven prior to unwrapping and drinking the bottle. If you complete the challenge, please replace the bottle you earned with a new challenge and challenge bottle prior to shipping along the new box. If for some reason you cannot video or take a picture of yourself doing the challenge due to job reasons, we can think up a more appropriate challenge. This is open to anyone who participated in the first three rounds of the Newbie BIF. Sorry I have not been keeping up with thread lately, been crazy with a new job lately. Also have not been able to complete the challenge, so I will be forwarding on @MTKATL challenge/challenge beer and I'll add a + on the beer side. I got a few new gaskets for the official growler so I will send some carbonated water or something in the official growler for a seal check and send the GIF growler in a side growler. Awesome CIF box @oldmetalguy! I'm in for next round too, and if we're still thinking about the format maybe we could do something based on the days of bif/NBS, perhaps picking a few days for VBSs and sending some bottles with the labels hidden specifically for those days?
