BA Dark Lord gathering Chicago

Do we have a tentative location for the 28/29?

 

as previously stated, i could host something the 28/29 in river north near merchandise mart. i can start w providing a 2011 brandy vanilla bean DL as well as Chocolate Rain. please send all interest in attending as well as beers to bring to my email, [email protected].

 

There are 6 current BAs available for the 28/29th weekend, as well as a host location.
Again I made a simple spreadsheet that anyone can edit, so if you are available feel free to add yourself in with what you can bring.

I added my stuff to the 28/29 spreadsheet which I am currently pretty positive I could attend.

 

Trying to get my hands on something else as well but would a 2012 and 2011 to contribute to the vertical grant access? Trying to getanother barrel aged beer to toss in as well

 

Could offer up a 2011 Black Tuesday for comparison to any BA Dark Lord tasting if that would get me in. If anyone arranging one of these is interested, let me know.

 

Some of us are doing a Dark Lord vertical in Chicago on Sat 9/22 (might be bookended by trips to Hot Dougs and Kumas). We are going to have more than just the Dark Lord beers there, but the DL vert is the highlight of the tasting. So far, we have set up:

05 DL
08 DL
09 DL
10 DL
11 DL
12 DL
12 BA Bourbon DL

Any BA Dark Lord or 04/06/07/08 DL is welcome, but we are especially seeking someone with an 06/07 DL at the moment.

Please BM me or wsnich if you are able to come and interested in joining. I'll mark up a "beers being brought by whom" spreadsheet soon.

 

It seems we have a partial Behemoth vertical, also. If you happen to have an 05 or 08 Behemoth, or have something cool that you feel that would be neat to open next some of these beers, feel free to message me.

Wait...an insane DL vert & BA Behemoth...That is a lot of ABV in one tasting man. Good luck.

Well looks like we have 8 people at the moment. ~3 oz of each times ~20 beers right now. 60 oz is very doable.

Sucks that I'm not around, especially if you get a Brandy with vanilla. I have been seeking that out to pair with my bourbon with vanilla. Argh!

 

Come on guys. He's just looking for a behemoth vertical hole filler. Get your minds out of the gutter.

Get your ass up here . FWIW, i think Bourbon Vanilla is slightly better, though brandy vanilla is less sweet.

 

if you're doing dougs and doing a tasting at 1pm. get in line before opening. like a half hour before opening.
