    Hey -

I'm in the process of finishing my first kegerator, but I'm having an issue cleaning the lines on my KegConnection Tower. I bought the 2 faucet tower. I am able to get the cleaning solution in one of the lines, but not the other. My friend and I are unsure what is causing the problem. I don't want to scuff it up or damage it trying to manhandle it, so I thought I'd ask for help. Have any of you experienced this kind of issue? Any ideas for troubleshooting the issue?

    Your help is much appreciated.

    Best,
    -Shep

    A quick couple of questions...

    1. Have you poured beer through both lines yet?

    2. Are you positive your connectors are all set up correctly?

    1. I have not poured beer through the lines. I figured it would be prudent to clean the lines before using it for beer.
    2. I am not 100% positive that the connectors are set up correctly, and that's what I am going to look into. The tower came assembled with the two lines. I will have to look into it more to see what the differences between the two lines are that may cause this issue.

    1. Cleanliness counts...I clean lines after installation as well.

    2. If your kit is identical to the link, your Liguria lines will be the black connectors and gas is the lighter colored one.

RE - 2 - may be I should have been more clear. I have two faucet lines. I hooked up my line cleaning kit (the bottle and tube) to them in the tower, but can get the solution only into one of the two lines. I did not try to get cleaning solution into my CO2 line. I am having trouble cleaning my second beer line because I can't get the cleaning solution into it.

I'm also concerned because if I can't get this solution through it, I will probably have trouble getting beer through it as well.

Well, you certainly don't want liquid in your gas line, so that's good.

If one line is working and one line is not, there are a few possibilities

The first thing I would do with the non-working side is remove the connector from the liquid line and open the faucet. If you blow into the line air should come out of the faucet, thus confirrming that part of the system is sound.

    - there may be a blockage in the connector...and I would suggest swapping with the connector that is working to see if that part is the culprit. This is most likely if you are getting zero liquid in the line.

    - if you are getting a bit of liquid in the line, the line might be kinked (highly unlikely) or the blockage might be in the faucet. Once again, a swap with the working side will confirm or deny.

    - not sure about how this set-up works. Is the cleaning kit driven by CO2 or a hand pump?

Others here are more experienced with these connections...my work is 99% Sankey connectors.

Resolved the issue with cleaning the line, only had to pull on the tube apparently. The connector was going straight into the wall of the tower and cutting off the circulation on the line.

Got a new problem with the tap as it seems a bit loose. Going to try to get a wrench in there and tighten it up, but glad to have this main issue resolved. We have beer flowing in one of the taps and that's really exciting!
